Mizzi Moves On

We walked up to the Sorel Mizzi match to see five cards already out on board showing

Mizzi had checked on the river, and Matthew Waxman bet 21,000 into a pot of about 18,000. That left him with just 25,700 chips in his stack, and Mizzi promptly check-raised with a big covering stack of pink chips.
Waxman was gutted as he sunk in his chair, and he would spend almost five minutes in the tank. "I almost checked back the river too, that's the sick thing," he said, shooting a glance at Mizzi. Waxman held his cards over the muck, then pulled them back and made a motion with his chips. The he stopped and looked like he was going to muck again. Back and forth he went trying to get a read on Mizzi, but there was none to be had.
Finally, and with all the reluctance in the world, he rolled the rest of his chips into the pot. Mizzi tabled 
, and he said, "Good game," as he reached out his hand for the obligatory shake. Waxman slapped his 
into the muck, and he said, "Two outs, Sorel," as the two men shook hands.
Waxman is out, and Mizzi is on to tonight's Round of 32.
