Kitchens is Cooking

The flop and turn had already been dealt, and the board read {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} when Johnny Kitchens accidently bet 30,000 out of turn. Samuel Trickett asked the dealer for a ruling and the dealer stated that if Trickett bet then the action would be voided, but if Trickett checked then the 30,000-chip bet would stand.

Trickett decided to bet, flicking a single orange T5,000 chip into the pot. Kitchens tanked for a bit before making the call.

The river was the {6-Hearts} and both players checked.

"Six," Kitchens said as he opened {7-Spades}{6-Clubs}.

Trickett could do nothing but laugh as he mucked his hand prompting the dealer to ship Kitchens the pot. Kitchens has the lead heads up, and the counts look like this:

Kitchens - 270,000
Trickett - 180,000
