Minieri Survives All In

Dario Minieri
Dario Minieri

Half may not have been quite the result that Dario Minieri was looking for but it was better than the alternative. Minieri, the small blind, called a raise from the button player. The big blind also called to a flop of {8-Clubs} {8-Diamonds} {3-Diamonds}. Dario confidently led out and was called by both players. Minieri fired again on the {8-Spades} turn; only one player called.

The river {5-Spades} put a low on boar and also led to the last of Mineri's chips being tossed into the pot. His opponent called with {a-Spades} {4-Spades} {j-Spades} {2-Spades}, the nut low and trip eights; Minieri showed {a-Hearts} {a-Clubs} {4-Diamonds} {q-Clubs} for the second nut-low and a full house. They chopped up the pot and Minieri went back to looking for a good spot to get his small stack into the middle.
