Ettedgi Quartered by Gottlieb

Joel Ettedgi raised to 55,000 for the third hand in a row. This time, he was acting from under the gun. John Gottlieb called from the next seat and then Anders Taylor called out of the big blind, making the pot 175,000.

The flop came down {9-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} and action checked to Ettedgi. He fired 150,000 after asking how much was in the pot. Gottlieb raised the pot and Taylor quickly mucked. Ettedgi called all in just as quick.

Ettedgi held the {A-Clubs}{9-Spades}{5-Hearts}{2-Spades} and Gottlieb the {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}.

The turn brought the {2-Hearts} and then the river completed the board with the {5-Diamonds}. The one card Ettedgi didn't want to see was the {5-Diamonds} on the river, but it came and gave Gottlieb three-quarters of the pot as they both chopped the low and Gottlieb made a diamond flush for the high.

Gottlieb boomed his way to 1.35 milliion in chips while Ettedgi was quartered down to 246,000.
