Rafal Michalowski - 14th Place
Rafal Michalowski - 14th Place

Raymond Coburn opened to 55,000 from the hijack seat and Johan Jakobsson flatted from the small blind. Rafal Michalowski moved all in for just under 400,000 from the big blind, Coburn snapped it off and Jakobbson immediately folded.

Showdown
Coburn: {q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}
Michalowski: {10-Spades}{9-Diamonds}

Michalowski smiled, acknowledging that his squeeze play went awry. The board ran {j-Spades}{8-Clubs}{8-Spades}{a-Clubs}{q-Spades} and he hit the rail in 13th place.

Coburn is now among our big stacks with 1,600,000 chips.

Douglas Gord - 13th Place

Shaun Malough opened to 56,000 from the cutoff and Justin Conley re-raised to 129,000 with the button. Douglas Gord moved all in for about 625,000 from the small blind, the big blind surrendered and the action was back on Malough.

After pausing for a moment, Malough re-shoved all in and Conley folded. The hands were turned over:

Showdown
Malough: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}
Gord: {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}

Gord was dominated and could not improve with the {5-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{9-Spades} board eliminating him from the tournament while Malough is now about 1,000,000 chips.

Thomas Bichon Eliminated in 11th Place ($41,725)

Thomas Bichon
Thomas Bichon

Raymond Coburn kick-started the action by raising to 55,000 from the cut-off. Thomas Bichon flat called, but Kevin Odell was less inviting, three-betting to 155,000 from the small blind. The big blind folded and Coburn called, but Bichon moved all in for 820,000 more. Odell called, Coburn folded, and cards were placed on their backs:

Bichon: {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts}
Odell: {Q-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}

Flop: {8-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}

Both players rose from their seats.

Turn: {6-Spades}

Odell shook Bichon's hand, perhaps prematurely.

River: {3-Spades}

Odell raked in the pot to extend his lead even further. He now has over four million as we break down to one last table of 10.

Gimme the Gold

Michael Goldfarb doubles.
Michael Goldfarb doubles.

Michael Goldfarb shoved for 412,000 from early position and the action folded all the way to Shaun Malough in the big blind. Malough sweated his cards and called tabling {a-Spades}{j-Clubs}.

Goldfarb stood up and opened {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}.

The {k-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{8-Clubs} flop put Malough deeper into a hole, and the {5-Spades} on the turn ended the hand. The {7-Clubs} on the river was but a formality, and Goldfarb doubled to 840,000 chips.

Malough slipped to 1,345,000

Bullets for Goldfarb

Jesse Rockowitz raised to 69,000 from under the gun; Michael Goldfarb defended from the big blind.

Flop: {6-Spades}{8-Spades}{2-Diamonds}

With a somewhat of a shaky paw, Goldfarb led for 150,000. After a brief pause, Rockowitz made the call.

Turn: {10-Diamonds}

Without hesitation, Goldfarb slid in what appeared to be 400,000. Rockowtiz sized up his opponent, but ultimately opted for the fold. He was shown {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts} for his troubles.

"Wait long enough, the hand will come, huh?" beamed Goldfard. Rockowitz didn't share his joy.

Coburn Folds a Set

Raymond Coburn opened to 75,000 in middle position and Kevin Odell defended his big blind.

The flop fell {4-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{8-Hearts} and Odell checked to Coburn who continued for 80,000. Odell called.

The turn brought the {a-Spades} and Odell opted to check again. Coburn fired 160,000 and Odell again called.

The {3-Hearts} fell on the river and this time Odell led out. 400,000 was the bet and after just a moment or two, Coburn open mucked {4-}{4-} for a set of fours. Odell didn't show, rather he just raked in another big pot.

Odell - 4,600,000
Coburn, 850,000
