So Long Elizabeth

Shannon Elizabeth won't be making a deep run in today's event. After facing a raise to 400 from a player under the gun, Elizabeth went all in for about 1,950. The initial raiser called and we were off to the flop.

Elizabeth: {4-Clubs}{4-Spades}
Under the Gun: {8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}

Elizabeth needed a lot of help (namely a four) to pull ahead, but the board ran dry when it came {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{3-Spades}{10-Hearts}.

Alexander the Great

A few big stacks are starting to emerge as we near closer to feeding time, but despite players such as Jason Young (33,000) and Chino Rheem (32,000) wearing smiles wider than the equator, the current chip leader must surely be Alex Outhred. According to our sources (the, hopefully, reliable horse's mouth), Outhred is on a whopping, mouth-watering, meatalicious 67,000 and could have this tournament won by the end of the day.

7s Not So Luck for Mayrinck

We arrived at her table to see Maria Mayrinck getting it all in against a short-stacked player.

Mayrinck: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}
Opponent: {7-Diamonds}{7-Spades}

Mayrink had to improve if she wanted to eliminate her opponent, but fell further behind despite pairing her hand when the flop came {q-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{k-Hearts}. The {3-Spades} on the turn and the {4-Clubs} on the river kept the Brazilian PokerStars pro behind and she is now back to her starting stack of 4,500 chips.

No More Moorman

Chris Moorman started off his last hand of the tournament by raising to 600 from early position. The player in the cutoff re-raised to 1,675 and Moorman tanked for several minutes before announcing he was all in. The cuttoff called without hesitation.

Moorman: {6-Hearts}{6-Spades}
Cutoff: {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}

Moorman was way behind and failed to catch up as the board ran out {8-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{a-Spades}. The player in the cutoff collected Moorman's 11,000 chips as the young internet sensation made his way to the rail.

700 Down, 2,400 to Go

Despite the early disheartening site of seeing the number of players increase by the minute, the screen now appears to have halted on 3,097 with 2,400 remaining, meaning in the space of the opening four levels, we have lost almost 700 players. If we continue at this pace, we'll be done by lunch tomorrow, although I'm not sure it quite works like that...

Tommy Gunned Down

Remember Tom Naygrow from earlier, the dude with the toy nun? Well, the nun was at it once again as Naygrow wound her up and set her loose on the felt. But, on this occasion, it was to be her last journey, as Naygrow was unable to outdraw {Q-}{Q-} with {A-}{Q-}, the board coming {9-}{3-}{K-}{K-}{K-} to send both him, and his contemplative assailant home.

Rheem Gives Action, Take Chips

Action had folded around to Chino Rheem who made it 825 to go from the button. The small blind then shoved for 6,000. Once the big blind folded, Cheem started talking to his opponent.

Rheem: I have queen-high. If I had eights I would call in a second. I'm going to do it anyways.

Small blind: That's cool, I want the action.

They then turned over there cards and it was clear that Rheem wasn't lying.

Rheem: {q-Clubs}{9-Clubs}
Small blind: {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}

The flop came {4-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} which left Rheem behind. However the {9-Hearts} on the turn put him ahead and he stayed there when the {5-Hearts} came on the river.

Rheem is now up to 21,500 chips.
