Kelley Crippled, Busts

Charles Kelley moved all in for 42,000 from the small blind after a player on the button opened to 4,100. Konstantin Puchkov called all in from the big blind and the original raiser folded.

Showdown
Kelley: {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}
Puchkov: {10-Hearts}{10-Spades}

The board ran {j-Clubs}{5-Spades}{6-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds} and Kelley was left with just 10,000 chips.

We missed how he got the rest of them in, but he was no longer at his seat the next time we visited the table.

Where's There's a Will, There's a Way

Ben Roberts
Ben Roberts

Ben Roberts moved all in from middle position for 15,000 with {A-Clubs}{7-Clubs}, but ran into the {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds} of Failla who reraised all in from the hijack. An eventful {5-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} board was close, but no cigar, and "The Gentleman" is out.

Failla's stack has been fluctuating of late, so he's still on 142,000 despite starting the day with slightly more.

Biggs Stack

On a board of {2-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{8-Spades}{4-Spades}{A-Clubs}, Paul Biggs led for 25,000 into a pot of 22,000 and received a call from under-the-gun. Biggs showed {A-Hearts}{7-Hearts} for two pair, which was more than enough to see his stack jump up to 95,000.

Wolf Howls

A player in early position opened for a raise before Jamie Wolf moved all in with the button. The original raiser called, and the hands were opened:

Showdown
Opponent: {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}
Wolf: {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}

Wolf already had his opponent dominated and the {j-Spades}{8-Hearts}{6-Spades} flop only pushed him further ahead. After the {10-Hearts} turned it was all over. The {q-Hearts} on the river was but a formality, and Wolf doubled to 32,000 chips.

Buchanan KO's Opponent

Shawn Buchanan has chipped up to 70,000 thanks to a recent knockout.

He held wired tens against an opponent's wired fives, and the two got all the chips in before the flop. Buchanan actually made a set of tens just for fun, and his opponent hit the rail.

All S-Hook Up

Charlie Hook looked like he was walking the plank when he ran into {Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs}, his {A-Spades}{5-Spades} in need of divine assistance to prevent him from sleeping with the fishes. However, the Poker Gods were feeling fruity on this occasion as the flop came {K-Spades}{2-Spades}{9-Spades} to virtually seal the deal there and then. A {6-Spades} on the turn and it was all over. I won't even telling you what the {6-Hearts} river was as it was so academic.

After that spot of good fortune, Hook is now back up to 35-40,000.

Simon Says

Simon Ravnsbaek (yes, four consecutive consonants!) is up to 110,000 after eliminating a short stack with {8-Spades}{8-Hearts} versus {A-Hearts}{7-Spades}. The board rolled out {7-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} to award him both the pot, and the scalp.

Flushed Away

With the board reading {4-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{9-Spades}, early pace setter from yesterday, Alex Outhred, called a bet of 13,000 before moving all in on the {9-Diamonds} turn. His opponent called all in for his tournament life, but duly mucked upon being shown {A-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} for the nut flush. Outhred up to 120,000.
