Alexander Wice Eliminated in 3rd Place ($102,314)

Alexander Wice - Third Place
Alexander Wice - Third Place

2-7 Triple Draw

This hand had a ton of first round betting that started with Steve Sung raising from the button. Sigurd Eskeland called from the small blind, but Alexander Wice three-bet. Not one to be outdone, Sung four-bet with Eskeland making the call and Wice calling for the rest of his chips.

Each player drew one card with Eskeland and Sung checking the next round of betting.

On the second draw all three players chose to take just one card. Eskeland then check-called a bet from Sung.

While Wice stood pat on the last draw, Eskeland and Sung made a final single-card draw. Eskeland then bet with Sung thinking for a moment before folding.

Eskeland showed {2-}{3-}{4-}{6-}{7-} while Wice showed {2-}{4-}{6-}{7-}{8-} for the second-best hand.

We're now heading into heads up play and will be back after a short break.
