De Wolfe Knocking on the Door

"Haven't had a hand better than nines all day," claimed Roland De Wolfe earlier, clearly grinding like no man has ever ground before. "Just need a double-up."

A few orbits later, that's exactly what happened, De Wolfe moving all in from early position with for 27,000 with {A-Spades}{7-Spades} and being called by Guiseppe Zarbo. "I gamble," beamed Zarbo as he threw in the necessary chips and tabled {Q-Spades}{4-Spades}.

The board, however, favored the Brit, although only just, the dealer popping an eventful {4-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{7-Clubs} onto the felt to double him up.
