Spinks Doubles Through

Matthew Waxman raised to 19,000, Jonathan Spinks three-bet to 45,500 and, after a long dwell, Waxman made the call. "Let's try the check-in-the-dark play and see how that works out," commented Waxman.

The flop rolled out {7-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{9-Hearts} and Spinks swiftly announced all-in for what appeared to be around the 120,000 mark. Again, Waxman tanked, but eventually made a reluctant call with {A-Spades}{Q-Clubs}.

The {9-Diamonds} turn and {3-Spades} river were both blanks meaning Spinks doubled through to over the 300,000 mark, whilst Waxman dropped to 310,000.
