Bansi's Stack Growing

Praz Bansi just won a 1,000,000 chip pot against Calvin Kordus when his {a-}{j-} out-kicked Kordus' {a-}{5-}.

Bansi opened to 160,000 and got a call from Kordus. When the flop came {3-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{6-Clubs}, Bansi bet 275,000 and was again called by Kordus. They both checked the {4-Diamonds} on the turn.

When the {6-Hearts} came on the river, Bansi bet 600,000 and got a call from Kordus.

Bansi's {a-}{j-} was better than Kordus' {a-}{5-} and Bansi took a huge lead.

Red! Black!

A group of Vincent Jacques' supporters are reportedly betting on which color flops are going to be with James Akenhead, who is railing Praz Bansi. It's sometimes hard to tell if they're cheering for their buddies or for their themselves when they yell "diamond!" or "spade!".

Aces Up do it for Kordus

Vincent Jacques took his button opportunity to raise preflop to 210,000. Calvin Kordus called and they took in a flop reading {a-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{6-Spades}, which both players checked.

The turn brought the {9-Spades} and Kordus check-called a 210,000 chip bet from Jacques. He did the same thing on the {5-Clubs} river, this time for 150,000.

Kordus showed {a-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} and Jacques mucked.

Bansi Picks Up Pot

Praz Bansi has been maintaining a quiet presence, largely letting Vincent Jacques and David Tuthill duke it out. This time around, though, he reponded to Jacques' 160,000 raise on the button by throwing in an additional 305,000, prompting Jacques to fold.

Jacques Passes Tuthill for Chip Lead

This latest hand was enough to propel Vincent Jacques into the chip lead. David Tuthill raised to 150,000 from the small blind and was called by Vincent Jacques in the big blind.

They both checked the river, which came {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}. Tuthill bet 210,000 when the turn brought the {2-Diamonds} and was called by Jacques. With the {7-Diamonds} on the river, Tuthill bet one more time, throwing 425,000 into the pot, getting a call from Jacques.

Jacques: {k-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}
Tuthill: {k-Spades}{j-Diamonds}

Jacques' queen kicker was good enough, and we have a new chip leader.

Another Hand, More Chips for Jacques

It may or may not be a direct result of Vincent Jacques' loud (but small) cheering section, but he just added another pile of David Tuthill's chips to his own collection.

Tuthill was under the gun and raised to 150,000, getting a call from Jacques. The flop fell {9-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} and Jacques called a bet of 235,000 from Tuthill. They checked through the {5-Diamonds} on the turn and the {a-Clubs} on the river. They both flipped their cards over and Jacques' {k-}{q-} bested Tuthill's {k-}{8-} for the pot.
