Gibson Doubles Through Tuthill

Joshua Tuthill's double-up started when he raised to 14,000 and was re-popped to 32,500 by David Tuthill in the cutoff. Gibson three-bet, putting himself all in, and Tuthill called. At showdown, things looked bleak for Gibson:

Gibson: {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades}
Tuthill: {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts}

Any warm feelings Tuthill may have had disappeared when the flop came {7-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} and didn't get any better with the turn's {2-Spades} and the {5-Clubs} on the river.

Gibson is now up to 215,000, while Tuthill has slipped to 265,000.

Ladies and Gentlemen, Kyle Knecht

Kyle Knecht just came out on the best side of a three-way all in. Peter Leung got things started when he opened for an all-in raise. Knecht re-raised, also going all in and Ed Liu followed suit by calling, having both players covered.

Leung: {j-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
Knecht: {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades}
Liu: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}

The board ran out {2-Hearts}{10-Spades}{3-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} and the situation left Leung eliminated, Liu down to 77,000 and Knecht with a boost to 292,000. Easy game.

Jesse Martin is Going Up

Jesse Martin opened the pot on the button and his opponent in the big blind made the call.

Flop: {4-Hearts}{a-Spades}{8-Hearts}

Martin's opponent bet out 34,000 and Martin raised, putting him all in, and a call was made.

Opponent: {7-Hearts}{k-Hearts}
Jesse Martin: {j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}

Turn: {9-Diamonds}

River: {6-}

Martin now has about 300,000 chips.

Ed Liu: No Chips, No Chair

After slipping down to 77,000 chips a few hands back, Ed Liu tried to better his situation by going all in with {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}. He was met with a call by Getty Mattingsley who showed {kq}{q-Spades} and for a short while, things were looking up for Liu. However, as it tends to happen in poker, Mattingsley spiked a queen on the flop when it came {q-Hearts}{j-Spades}{8-Diamonds} and there was no help provided when the board finished with {3-Spades}{2-Hearts} on the turn and river.

Mattingsley is now up to 352,000.

Levy is Dry

Adam Levy recently shoved against an opponent's limp and was called in a hand that would send him to the rail.

Levy: {4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}
Opponent: {10-}{10-}

Levy was left virtually hopeless with a flop of {7-Spades}{8-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}. His fate was sealed with a {j-} on the turn, with the {a-Spades} coming on the river.

Double Up for Georgios Kapalas

The player in the hijack seat opened the pot with a raise to 14,000 and got called by two players, one of them Sarang Ahuja in the small blind.

Georgios Kapalas shoved for more 62,500 in the big blind and eventually got called by Ahuja.

Showdown:

Georgios Kapalas: {a-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}
Sarang Ahuja: {a-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}

A board full of blanks gave the Greek a double up.

Kapalas has now about 181,000 chips and Ahuja 438,500.

Tuthill Takes a Pile off Mattingsley

Table 357 has been the most active of the night, with a few large stacks getting mixed up in a high number of hands and swapping chips.

In this latest hand, a player in middle position limped and was followed by David Tuthill. Getty Mattingsley called from the small blind, and the big blind checked to the flop, which came {8-Spades}{6-Spades}{2-Hearts}.

Tuthill and the small blind both checked and the player in middle position bet 12,000. Tuthill raised to 42,000 and Mattingsley made it 85,000. The original bettor couldn't get out of the way fast enough. It was then Tuthill's turn, and he went all in for about 300,000 more. Mattingsley folded.

Tuthill is now sitting on 490,000 and Mattingsley is down to 259,000

Martin Takes Carr for a Ride

It was a classic battle of the blinds when Jesse Martin and Alexander Carr saw a flop in the small and big blind respectively. The flop came {9-Spades}{4-Spades}{3-Diamonds} and Martin check-called Carr's bet of 10,000.

The {3-Spades} fell on the turn, and this time Martin led out with a bet of 20,000 and was called by Carr. Things went similarly on the river when the {j-Hearts} fell and Martin bet 22,000. Carr called and mucked when Martin showed {q-Spades}{5-Spades} for a queen-high flush.
