Event #5: $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em

Day 2 Started

Day 2 Almost Upon Us

We're less than ten minutes away from the start of Day 2. We should reach the money bubble in a matter of hands with less than ten players to go before busted players are able to collect a cheque on their way to the door.

Stick around as we come up on the final table. We'll be covering the action every step of the way.

Level: 11

...And We're Back

The numbers have been crunched and we're back in action with 221 players. With five to go until we hit the money, play is going down on a hand-for-hand basis and is moving along quite slowly.

Humberto Brenes Aims to Set Records

Humberto Brenes pulled us aside and told us that if he cashes today, he will tie Erik Seidel for fifth overall in World Series cashes. He currently has 52 cashes over the span of his career. Brenes also has seven World Series of Poker Main Event cashes and is currently sitting in second place in that department.

Close Enough to Taste it

With only one more player to go before the money, there's a noticeable tension in the air. A few short stacks have been shoving all in, but so far none have been called and beaten. Tournament directors are doing their best to keep people from rushing over to seats where action looks to be going on.

Pop!

Zachary Clark who was seated at Table 372 busted at the same time as a player at Table 374. Although Clark was the shorter of the two stacks, WSOP rules stipulate that when play is on the money bubble and two players at different tables bust, they split last place money.

We are now down to 315 players and can expect a slew of people to exit in the last few minutes of this Level 10.
