Short Stack Action

A couple of our big stacks have just taken a hit as they've doubled up their short-stacked opponents.

Sam Trickett snap-called in the big blind when he found an ace against an under-the-gun player who moved all in for 34,300. Trickett showed {A-Spades}{5-Hearts} but he was dominated against his opponent's {A-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} and didn't improve on the {10-Hearts}{6-Spades}{3-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{7-Spades} board. He's back to 400,000.

Meanwhile Antonio Esfandiari went to war with {A-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} against a short stack's {7-Hearts}{7-Hearts}. Esfandiari received no help on the {2-Spades}{K-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{K-Spades} board and slipped back to 155,000.

Two short stacks who were unable to survive elimination were Andrew Lichtenberger and Nikolay Evdakov who were both recently sent to the rail.
