Shulman Slips

We caught up with the action after the dealer had flopped {9-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{5-Clubs}. Jason Bellamy checked from the small blind, Barry Shulman fired a bet from the big, and both Ben Yu (button) and Bellamy called.

The turn was the {a-Diamonds} and Bellamy checked again. Shulman bet, Bellamy raised, Shulman put in a third bet and Bellamy called.

The river brought the {j-Spades}, and Bellamy fired a bet. Shulman just called and his {a-}{k-} was no good against Bellamy's {a-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}.

Shulman slipped to just 19,000 chips while Bellamy now boasts a 72,000-chip stack.

Braender Runs into Aces, Busts

With the board reading {k-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}, Andre Braender bet from the small blind and Tyler Bonkowski called with the button.

The turn brought the {10-Clubs} and Braender fired again. Bonkowski opted to raise this time, and Braender called.

The river was the {8-Clubs} and Braender put in his last bet. Bonkowski called, tabling {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs} which was good against Braender's {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}.

Braender is out and Bonkowski is up to 64,000 chips.

Shulman Headed to the Rail

From the button, Barry Shulman made it two bets and was called by Javier Torresola from the big blind.

The flop came down {6-Clubs}{5-Spades}{q-Diamonds}. It was checked to Shulman who bet. Torresola made it two bets, and Shulman three-bet all in for 4,000. Torresola made the call.

Shulman: {q-Hearts}{j-Clubs}
Torresola: {5-Clubs}{q-Spades}

The turn brought the {7-Clubs} and the river the {10-Clubs} which were no help to Shulman and he was sent to the rail.

While we were catching this hand, Noah Askarian was eliminated at an adjacent table.

Ballin' on a Budget

Blake "Balla-B13" Cahail raised from late position and was re-raised by Mitch Schock on the button. Cahail called.

The flop fell {j-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{8-Clubs} and Cahail check-raised Schock. Schock called.

Cahail fired a bet after the {q-Diamonds} turned and again, Schock called.

Both players checked the {10-Spades} on the river and the hands were opened:

Showdown
Cahail: {k-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}
Schock: {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}

Schock's rivered pair of tens were a winner, increasing his stack to 65,000 chips. Cahail dropped to 26,300.

Kelly Catapults

Five players saw a {k-Hearts}{2-Spades}{j-Spades} flop including Matthew Kelly, Yevgeniy "atimos" Timoshenko, David Steicke, Thomas Taylor and David Besser.

Action checked to Taylor who bet. Besser called right behind him, Kelly check-raised from the small blind and only Taylor called.

Kelly led after the {10-Spades} turned and the {k-Clubs} rivered, receiving calls from Taylor both times. Kelly opened {k-Spades}{6-Spades} for a king-high flush and Taylor mucked his hand.
