Winner: Mcgowan Moves On

Joseph Mcgowan's off to the final table.
Joseph Mcgowan's off to the final table.

Robert Beveridge's uphill fight has come to an end at Table 315.

In the second to last hand, Beveridge bet every street as the board ran {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}{j-Spades}{5-Spades}{5-Hearts}. Mcgowan called each time.

Beveridge tabled {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds} and Mcgowan almost mucked his hand before finally realizing he rivered trip fives with {q-Clubs}{5-Clubs}.

"I would have raised had I known," Mcgowan chuckled.

The next hand all the bets were in preflop and Mcgowan was ahead with {k-Clubs}{7-Hearts} against Beveridge's {8-}{6-}. The flop was seven-high, and the turn and river both blanked sending Beveridge home.

With the win, Mcgowan locks up a minimum of $12,961 and a seat at tomorrow's final table.
