Scott Out

Kara Scott
Kara Scott

In a hand that uncannily echoes that recent one that resulted in Van Nguyen's elimination, Kara Scott just now pushed all in for her last 51,500, and the table folded around to the player in the big blind who called. Scott turned over {7-Spades}{7-Clubs}, and her opponent tabled {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}.

The board came {10-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{J-Spades}{4-Clubs}, and Scott is out.

Van Doesn't Nguyen

Van Nguyen hung on for a while with a below average stack. Just now she pushed all in with her last 24,000 or so from early position and had one player call behind her. The table folded around, and the two players put their cards on their backs.

"Oh no," said Nguyen as she saw her opponent's {A-Clubs}{A-Spades}. "This is the best hand I've gotten," she added, tabling her {6-Hearts}{6-Spades}.

The board came {9-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}, and Nguyen is out.

Bonus Break

The players have been sent for another 20-minute break so some "computer problems" can be resolved. It sounds like other events are being sent on break as well.

Back on the other side.

An Unscheduled Pause

After 12 minutes of Level 16, the tournament has been stopped for an unspecified reason. We're down to 110 players left, some of whom are a bit anxious to get back to playing. Stay tuned.
