Stelmak Leads The Turn

Ville Mattila raised to 58,000 from the cutoff position. Alex Kravchenko thought long and hard from the small blind, but eventually released as Dmitry Stelmak made the call in the big blind.

They took a flop of {K-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} and Stelmak checked it over to Mattila who potted for 128,000. Stelmak made the call.

The turn was the {9-Clubs} and Stelmak decided to lead out with a pot-sized bet of 384,000. It was enough to force a fold from Mattila and win the pot.

Mattila slips to 670,000 with Stelmak looking strong on 1.265 million.

Mercier Takes a Hit

With the board reading {8-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}, Jason Mercier's bet of roughly 31,000 was raised to 100,000 by Daniel Alaei. Mercier called and both players checked the {A-Hearts} turn card.

The {J-Hearts} fell on the river and Mercier checked. Alaei fired 150,000 into middle and Mercier took his time before calling. Alaei tabled {A-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{2-Hearts} for top boat and Mercier looked quite peeved mucking his cards. He is down to about 460,000 while Alaei is up to about 1,300,000.

Extended Break

This break seems kinda long. We believe there may be some computer glitches that are preventing play from resuming. We hope to be underway in a few minutes.

Level: 25

Blinds: 15,000/30,000

Play Resumes

Finally we're back in action!

We also have confirmation that we'll be stopping play this evening once we reach our final table of nine players. We're still a little way from that point, so if we played on to try and find ourselves a champion, we wouldn't be finishing until sometime around the year 2015. It's a sensible decision to stop and resume things fresh tomorrow afternoon.

Alessio Isaia Eliminated in 11th Place ($50,867)

Alessio Isaia - 11th place
Alessio Isaia - 11th place

Alessio Isaia raised to 80,000 from the cutoff before Ludovic Lacay re-raised the pot to 265,000. Isaia moved all in and Lacay called it off.

Isaia: {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{J-Clubs}
Lacay: {A-Diamonds}{A-Spades}{4-Spades}{3-Spades}

The board ran out {A-Hearts}{9-Spades}{q-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} to give Lacay a set of aces and the pot to eliminate Isaia in 11th place for $50,867.

With that elimination the players are now redrawing to our unofficial final table of ten. We'll have the redraw for you shortly.

Jason Mercier Eliminated in 10th Place ($50,867)

Joson Mercier - 10th Place
Joson Mercier - 10th Place

In the span of about 120 seconds, three players have been eliminated and we are down to the final table. The last to bust was Jason Mercier. The remainder of his stack got into the middle after a flop of {A-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{K-Spades}.

Mercier: {Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{6-Hearts}
Alaei: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{5-Spades}

Mercier needed a third heart or a jack to hit the board, but the {7-Spades} turn and {3-Clubs} river were no help to the young pro, ending his tournament just shy of the final table.
