Keven Stammen open-shoved from the button for 80,500, and Cary Katz called in the big blind. Stammen's was a dogg to the of Katz. The flop gave Stammen some extra outs. The turn was a brick, but the on the river saved him with a straight. After the suckout, Stammen is up to 170,000. Katz is down to 110,000.
John Duthie fought heads up against Terrence Chan for seven hours yesterday to earn his spot in Round 2. But it was a short-lived battle for him today. He's been eliminated but hasn't gone too far. He just moved one table over to continue his massage.

Mercer: 116,000 chips
Tieman: 350,000 chips

Keven Stammen was all in again only a few minutes after doubling through Cary Katz. Stammen held the same hand as the last time - , only here he was ahead of Joseph Elpayaa's . That's never good. When Stammen doubled up, he rivered a straight. This time it was Elpayaa who hit a straight on the river to bust Stamdogg. Elpayaa is up to 430,000 and playing three-handed with Katz and Chino Rheem.
Former placekicker Heather Sue Mercer has been eliminated from Event #6.

Immediately after Cary's two blows to Rheem's stack, Joseph Elpayaa made his day even worse. Elpayaa was all in pre with against Rheem's . The flop came , giving Elpayaa a few outs and adding a flush draw to Rheem's overpair. The on the turn put some chop outs on the board. And then the on the river delivered a third blow to Rheem. He's gone from big chip lead to short stack in record time.

Elpayaa - 500,000
