Ronald Eberhard Eliminated in 25th Place ($16,275)

Vener Takes First Blood
Vener Takes First Blood

After action folded to Scott Vener on the button, he raised to 32,000 and the small blind folded. Ronald Eberhard, who was in the big blind, reraised to 70,000.

Vener asked how much Eberhard had behind, which turned out to be 180,000, before making the call. The flop came {6-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{A-Hearts} and Vener checked. Eberhard went to bet all in but did so in a string bet manner.

"It's alright," Vener said, "I'm all in." Eberhard called and turned over {5-Diamonds}{A-Clubs} but was behind Vener's {10-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}. Eberhard was looking for help but both the turn and river blanked.

Eberhard became the first player to be eliminated on Day 3.
