Smith Summoning the Short-Stack Gods

Bil Smith is seated directly in front of us on one of the Amazon Room's new featured tables, and he's come into the day as the shortest stack left. Just before the cards went into the air. Smith came over to tell us his game plan.

"You guys see this?" he asked, pointing at his chips. "I got two big blinds, and I'm in the big blind to start. This is going to be one of the biggest comebacks in the history of the World Series. I want you to remember this when they put that bracelet on my wrist!"

We've duly noted Smith's prophecy, and he's made it through the first hand without busting. Smith folded queen-deuce to a raise on the first hand of the day.

No players were eliminated, and everyone's on Hand #2 now.
