Behbehani Doubles After Hitting Flop

Level 15 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante
Andy Black slipping.
Andy Black slipping.

Andy Black and Salman Behbehani got their stacks in preflop. Black had pocket jacks and Behbehani tabled {A-Clubs} {K-Clubs}.

Board: {K-Hearts} {K-Diamonds} {7-Clubs} {Q-Diamonds} {9-Hearts}

Black was not happy with the outcome and got a little frustrated when the dealer didn't count out Behbehani stack accurately the first time. In Black's defense Behbehani had his chips in stacks of 19. Behbehani is around 154,000 and Black has slipped to 74,000.

Queen Marks the Spot

Level 15 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Matt Sterling, Tyson Marks and Brian Benhamou were in a hand three ways on a flop of {A-Spades}{10-Clubs}{J-Spades}. Sterling fired out and Marks moved all in. Benhamous took a few seconds before folding and Marks made the call to put his tournament life at risk.

Sterling: {J-Clubs}{10-Spades}
Marks: {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades}

The turn was the {3-Hearts}, keeping the two pair of Sterling ahead. However, he still had to dodge thirteen outs, one of which was the {Q-Diamonds}. And that's exactly what came on the river to send Sterling home.

Marks, who moved to 175,000 with that pot, was readily admitting he got very lucky.

Chen Slow Plays To Perfection

Level 15 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

From what we can gather, Bill Chen was involved in a massive pot where he limped preflop with {Q-}{7-}. The flop fell {Q-Clubs}{Q-}{7-Clubs} and the action went check-check between Chen and his opponent. The {10-Clubs} turned, putting three clubs on the board and Chen checked once again, causing his opponent to lead out with a bet. Chen called and a {K-} fell on the river. Chen checked one more time and his opponent bet one more time. This time Chen re-raised all in and was called, his flopped full house crushing the flush of his opponent. Chen is now sitting pretty with around 200,000

Triple Up for McFarland

Level 15 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

We found this hand as two different pots were being counted out, one player busted and three all ins. When it was all said and done Nickolas Davies was eliminated, Denis Gnidash collected the secondary pot and Bradley McFarland tripled up from the main pot.

The board read {J-Hearts} {6-Clubs} {2-Clubs} {A-Hearts} {5-Diamonds} and McFarland held {Q-Hearts} {Q-Spades} for the main pot. Gnidash had {9-Hearts} {9-Spades} for the side pot. McFarland is up to 150,000.

Cliff Josephy on a Roll

Level 15 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante
Cliff Josephy aka JohnnyBax
Cliff Josephy aka JohnnyBax

On a board of {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}, Cliff Josephy checked to Richard Trigg who fired out a bet of 5,600. Josephy made the call and we were off to the turn. Jospehy moved all in once the turn of {Q-Clubs} fell and was snap-called by Trigg who turned up {J-Hearts}{10-Spades} for Broadway. Josephy turned up {A-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}, noticeably shocked at Trigg's hand. It all worked out in the end for Josephy though, as the {Q-Spades} rivered, giving Josephy the winning queens full of aces.

Immediately after this double up, JohnnyBax called the preflop all in of Richard Anthony, tabling {K-Hearts}{K-Clubs}, absolutely crushing the {K-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} of Anthony.

The board fell {9-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{2-Spades}{6-Spades} and Richard Anthony was eliminated, leaving Josephy with a stack of around 150,000.

Level 15 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

David Diaz and Bryan Pimlott built a huge pot post flop. With the board reading {2-Diamonds} {9-Diamonds} {Q-Clubs} and close to 70,000 in the pot, Diaz moved all in after a being reraised. Pimlott mucked his hand and Diaz raked in the large pot without showing any cards.

Tran Busts Two

Level 15 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante
JC Tran Back Towards the Top
JC Tran Back Towards the Top

First, it was Donald Boivan. J.C. Tran ousted him and waited not a single hand to get the next notch on his belt.

The under the gun player raised to 5,400. Tran, next to act, re-raised to 14,000. Michael De Gilio tanked in the cutoff for a minute or two before announcing he was all in for his final 50,000 and it folded back to Tran who made the call.

De Gilio was in good shape with his {K-Diamonds}{K-Clubs} against the {A-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} of Tran. De Gilio even flopped well when it came {10-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}. However, the turn was not as kind. It was the {A-Clubs} and put Tran in front. But it could have been worse. It was the Ace of clubs which gave De Gilio a flush draw, along with the two remaining Kings.

Today is J.C. Tran's day though and the {5-Spades} sent De Gilio to the rail. Tran, who started the day as a top 5 stack, has reached that point again with 257,000.

McFarland Calls Down on River with Ace High

Level 15 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

We caught up with the aftermath of this hand because of phrases such as "So sick!" and "Oh my god!" being yelled. A player raised under the gun preflop to 5,000 and was flat called by Bradley McFarland. They saw a flop of {10-}{4-}{5-} and the player under the gun continued with a bet of 15,000. McFarland called and the turn came an {8-}. The action went check-check and the two players saw a river of a {10-}, pairing tens on the board. McFarland's opponent shoved all in for around 75,000 and after some pondering, McFarland smelled a rat and made the call, flipping up {A-}{K-}. His opponent was floored by the call, flipping up his own {A-}{Q-} for merely ace-queen high. This call brings McFarland up to 240,000 in chips and it's certain that the rest of his table will think twice before trying to make a move on him again.
