Hamrick Hangs On

Level 14 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

On a flop of {K-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{A-Hearts} Dean Hamrick announced that he was all in. Matt Sterling made the call, tabling {A-Clubs}{J-Spades} which was ahead of Hamrick's {A-Diamonds}{8-Spades}. Although behind on the flop, Hamrick was able to stay alive in the tournament thanks to the turn and river of {4-Diamonds} and {4-Clubs} pairing the board, and thus allowing for a chopped pot. Sterling seemed annoyed by the turn of events, but Hamrick was certainly elated that he was able to stay alive in the tournament.
