Chiu's Kicker Good Enough For the Win

Level 8

Hold'em:

Holding the button, David Chiu raised to 1,000 before the flop and picked up one caller in the small blind. The flop came down {7-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} and the small blind checked it, prompting a bet of 500 from the professional. This bet was check-raised to 1,000 by the opponent and Chiu made the call. The turn card fell {K-Spades} and the small blind led out for a bet of 1,000 which was called by Chiu.

River: {8-Spades}

The small blind checked it for a third time and Chiu checked behind him, tabling the {J-Hearts}{7-Hearts} for middle pair. The small blind showed down {7-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} for the same pair of sevens, but was beaten by Chiu's jack kicker. David Chiu is now up to approximately 15,000 in chips, putting near the top-10 of out leaderboard.
