Greg Mueller starts Day 2 with a top-ten chip stack.

Yesterday, Event #19 $2,500 Limit Hold’em/Six Handed drew 354 runners and created a prizepool of $805,350. Headed into Day 2 of the tournament, only 130 players remain in contention for the $213,431 first-place prize. Unfortunately, only 36 of those players will get paid. Leading the way is Samuel Golbuff with 63,900 in chips, followed closely by Mark Gryglik’s 57,000. Interestingly, the latter player fresh of a 15th-place finish in Event #14 $3,000 Limit Hold’em.

Among the most interesting storylines to watch today is that of 2009 WSOP Limit Hold'em World Champion Greg Mueller (41,700), and his fellow countryman Shawn Buchanan (45,200). Both are sitting on top-ten chip stacks and are poised to make a run at the title. Some other notable names who’ll be in action this afternoon include Michael "Squeakzilla" Winnett (38,000), Isaac Haxton (39,000), David Benyamine (28,400), and Jennifer Harman (3,600).

The tournament resumes in just over 15 minutes at 3 p.m. PST, so be sure to stay tuned for all the up-to-the-minute hands, action, and eliminations from the $2,500 Limit Hold’em/Six Handed.
