Baumstein Takes One From Smith

Level 22 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Daniel Smith made it 60,000 to go from early position and the action folded all the way around to Scott Baumstein in the big blind. He made the call and we were off to a flop of {k-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}. Baumstein checked to Smith who led out for 87,000.

Baumstein made the call and saw the turn come {4-Spades}. Baumstein dropped a bet of 50,000 in the pot and after about a minute and a long look at his hole cards, Smith folded his hand. Baumstein scooped the pot.

Dan Smith Eliminated in 10th Place ($28,447)

Dan Smith - 10th Place
Dan Smith - 10th Place

Dan Smith opened the pot from middle position with a raise to 60,000 only to have Todd Terry three-bet the small blind to 160,000.

With the action on Adam Junglen in the big blind, he cut out a four-bet amounting to 380,000 as the action returned to Smith. Smith contemplated for a few moments before pushing in his last 1,052,000 as Terry quickly folded. Junglen paused momentarily before making the call.

Smith: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}
Junglen: {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}

With Smith in the lead, the {7-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{7-Hearts} flop looked safe until the {K-Diamonds} was dropped by the dealer. There would be no miracle queen for Smith as the river landed the {8-Clubs} to send him out the door in 10th place for a $28,447 payday as Junglen climbs to over the 3.3 million-chip mark.

Baumstein Continues to Take Down Pots

Level 22 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Nicolas Fierrogottner made it 55,000 to go from middle position and was called by Scott Baumstein.

The flop came down {4-Hearts}{J-Spades}{2-Hearts} and Baumstein checked. Fierrogottner continued out with a bet of 75,000 and Baumstein quickly put out a check-raise to 185,000. Fierrogottner mucked his cards and Baumstein scooped another pot, bringing his stack to around 2,700,000 which is currently good for second in chips at the table.

Just Raisin' It Up

Level 22 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Scott Baumstein opened to 65,000 from the button and picked up the blinds and antes.

Adam Junglen took his chance at picking up the 72,000 in dead money and opened with a raise to 55,000 to successfully add to his stack.

Baumstein then tried it again - this time making it 59,000 - and again collected the dead money in the pot.

Check-Raise Victory for Lebedev

Level 22 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Adam Junglen opened to 55,000 from under the gun and Nikita Lebedev made the call from the small blind to see a {9-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} flop fall.

The action was checked through to see the {10-Spades} land on the turn and a delayed continuation-bet of 70,000 follow from Junglen once Lebedev checked.

Lebedev however responded with a check-raise to 225,000, and after considering his options, Junglen kicked his cards to the muck.

Marchese's Pair is Better

From early position, Mark Radoja raised to 49,000 and was called by Scott Baumstein, Tom Marchese, and Nikita Lebedev. The flop came {2-Hearts}{9-Spades}{A-Hearts}. Radoja continued out for 85,000. Baumstein sent his cards into the muck, Marchese made the call, and Lebedev folded.

The turn fell {2-Clubs} and the action went check-check. On the river when the {K-Clubs} hit, both players checked once again. Radoja tabled {3-Spades}{3-Clubs} but was beat by Marchese's higher pocket pair of {J-Spades}{J-Diamonds}.
