Kings Versus Aces...Twice

Level 14 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

The action opened when a player raised, only to find Robert Thompson three-bet. Another player four-bet all in, and the player next to him five-bet his stack all in. The original raiser folded and Thompson made the call.

Thompson: {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}
Opponent 1: {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}
Opponent 2: {K-}{K-}

The flop came {2-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{7-Spades}, followed by the {10-Spades} on the turn. This gave Thompson any spade as an out to scoop every pot, but it came {Q-Diamonds}, causing the players to chop up pots. Both Thompson and the player with red aces chopped up the main pot while Thompson was able to scoop the side pot from the player with the kings.

Thompson is now up around 225,000.
