Bradley Helm raised on the button and Vladimir Shchemelev called in the big blind. The flop was and Shchemelev checked. Helm bet and Shchemelev answered with a check raise which Helm called. Shchemelev led out on the turn and Helm called. On the river, Shchemelev moved all in and Helm made the call. Helm showed for a straight and the second nut-low. Shchemelev could only produce for two pair and was out. He immediately went off in Russian at the dealer but unfortunately (or perhaps fortunately), we couldn’t understand what he said. Helm was up to 565,000 after the hand.
In a three way pot, Matt Waxman proved a hero calling two streets in a three bet pot against Francesco Barbaro before both checked the river of a board.
Barbaro turned over and wasn't beaten by Waxman's mere for a pair of sevens.
Matthew Waxman raised it up in middle position and Francesco Barbaro who was next to act called. The flop came and Waxman checked. Barbaro put out a bet but got faced with a check raise from Waxman. Barbaro called the bet as well as Waxman’s turn bet. On the river, it went bet, then raise and ended with a Waxman call. Barbaro showed for quads while Waxman held for the low but a nut flush that lost on the river as the players chopped it up.
Michael Deveronica opened to 50,000 on the button and Kostas Kalathakis made it 75,000 from the small blind. Deveronica called to see a flop of and Kalathakis continued with another bet of 25,000.
Deveronica looked over his hand and shook his head, "You're freerolling me..." He then folded face up to leave himself with less than 100,000 remaining.
Humberto Brenes is down to less than 200,000 after losing a pot to Francesco Barbaro. Brenes has raised preflop from UTG and Barbaro called in the big blind to see a flop, both players checked before Barbaro fired 50,000 on the turn and river. Brenes called him down but couldn't beat his opponent's for the flopped straight.
