I'm All Shak Up

Level 1 : 200/400, 50 ante

Dan Shak: {x-}{x-} / {7-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{A-Diamonds} / {x-}
Alex Kravchenko: {x-}{x-} / {7-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{5-Hearts} / {x-}
Third Player: {x-}{x-} / {Q-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{x-} FOLDED

Joining the action in a three-way pot on fourth and it was checked to Kravchenko who bet with another player, as well as Dan Shak both calling. Shak made open sevens on fifth but checked to Kravchenko who bet, Shak being the only caller. Shak continued to call bets on sixth and seventh but Kravchenko showed {2-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{9-Hearts} for a six-high straight and a 6-5-4-3-2 low. Shak could only show {8-Clubs}{A-Spades}{2-Hearts} for aces up with a 8-7-6-2-A low and got scooped by the Russian.

Kassela Gets The Scoop

Level 1 : 200/400, 50 ante

Seat 2: {x-}{x-} / {A-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{5-Clubs}{3-Clubs} / {x-}
Frank Kassela: {x-}{x-} / {A-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{3-Spades} / {x-}
Seat 6: {x-}{x-} / {7-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{K-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} / {x-}
Seat 7: {x-}{x-} / {A-Spades}{4-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{5-Spades} / {x-}

We caught up on third street and the player in seat 2 completed. Frank Kassela re-raised and the players in seats 6, 7 and 2 all called. Kassela fired on fourth street and everyone else called. On fifth street, Kasella slowed down and checked, prompting a bet from seat 7. Everyone called. Seat 7 led out again on sixth and was called down. Everyone decided to check on seventh.

Kassela tabled {J-Spades}{J-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for jacks and fives, which was good for the scoop.

Mortensen Can't Use the Fours

Level 2 : 250/500, 50 ante

Daniel Negreanu: {x-}{x-} / {3-Spades}{3-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} / {x-}
Carlos Mortensen: {x-}{x-} / {4-Clubs}{4-Spades}{4-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} / {x-}
Third Player: {x-}{x-} / {5-Hearts}{10-Spades} FOLDED
Michael Binger: {x-}{x-} / {A-Hearts}{K-Spades} FOLDED

On fourth street the action was checked around to Daniel Negreanu and he bet, Carlos Mortensen now check-raised, Michael Binger and the other player both folded. Negreanu made the call and then called another bet on fifth when Mortensen made open trips. On sixth, Mortensen bet again and Negreanu now raised, the Spaniard called and then called another bet on seventh.

Negreanu turned over {7-Spades}{7-Clubs}{A-Diamonds} for a boat to scoop the pot as Mortensen couldn't beat it.

Kassela Chops

Level 2 : 250/500, 50 ante

First Player: {x-}{x-} / {8-Spades}{6-Hearts}{5-Hearts} FOLDED
Frank Kassela: {x-}{x-} / {2-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{K-Spades} / {x-}
Third Player: {x-}{x-} / {J-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{10-Clubs} / {x-}
Fourth Player: {x-}{x-} / {6-Spades}{3-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{3-Spades} / {x-}

We missed the exact action, but there were three bets on third street. On fourth street, Kassela bet and everyone called. Kassela led out on fifth and was raised by the player to his immediate left. The third player re-raised and was overcalled by the fourth player as well as the first player. Kassela re-popped it and the original played capped. Everyone else called. On sixth, player three fired out and was called by player four. Player one folded and Kassela raised, which was met with a re-raise by player three. The action was eventually capped and everyone called. On seventh, action was checked to Kassela, who bet and both players called.

Kassela: {4-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} for the low.
Player three: {7-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{10-Clubs} for the high.
Player four: {2-Spades}{3-Clubs}{5-Clubs} for the losing hand.

Shak Gets Scooped Again

Level 2 : 250/500, 50 ante

Shak: {x-}{x-} / {8-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{A-Spades} / {x-}
Opponent: {x-}{x-} / {4-Spades}{4-Hearts}{K-Spades}{8-Spades} / {x-}

Joining the action on fifth and Shak bet with his opponent check-calling, this pattern repeated itself on sixth street and seventh. Shak turned over {5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} for just a pair of fours with but his opponent turned over {A-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{2-Clubs} for a pair of fours with a better kicker plus an 8-5-4-2-A low to win the entire pot.
