Floor! Floor! Floor!

Level 8 : 250/500, 50 ante

We found this hand with around 15,000 in the pot already and Lars Bonding was all in. Bonding had 17,000 counted out in front of him and everyone else at the table looked angry. Another player at the table, not involved in the hand, asked the dealer to call for the floor for a clock.

The petite dealer called for the floor three times, but none came right away. The dealer didn't have much of a yelling voice so the player that called for the clock volunteered his watch for the dealer. By the time the floorman arrived the tanking player folded his hand.

From reports at the table the preflop action took a seven minutes.

Action!

Level 8 : 250/500, 50 ante

The player under the gun shoved all in for 8,700, and the gentleman in the cutoff did so as well. From the button, Tommy Vedes shoved in too, committing his last 9,800 chips to the pot. Not done yet! From the big blind, John Lee called all in as well, his 12,325 also in the middle. We'll sort out the pot later, let's see the cards.

Under the gun: {8-Hearts} {8-Clubs}
Cutoff: {9-Hearts} {9-Diamonds}
Vedes: {A-Clubs} {Q-Clubs}
Lee: {A-Spades} {Q-Diamonds}

Everyone started yelling for their cards, and a small crowd gathered around the table to sweat the four-way all in.

Somehow, the under-the-gun player took a big lead as the flop came {K-Diamonds} {7-Clubs} {8-Diamonds} to give him middle set. The turn {10-Spades} was a good sweat card for everyone, and the river {J-Clubs} made Broadway for the two ace-queens.

The player with eights is out, the player with nines owes 12,325, and Vedes and Lee chop it up. Well, actually nine players, a dealer, and two floormen chopped it up over about a five-minute period.

Squeezy Sabat Surges

Level 8 : 250/500, 50 ante

In middle position, a player opened to 1,000, and Eddy Sabat flatted. On the button, a third player three-bet to 3,500, and the initial raiser flatted. Now Sabat snuck in another raise to 14,500 total, folding the player behind him. The initial raiser shoved, though, putting Sabat to the decision for all ~35,000 of his chips. Snap-call, and the cards were on their backs.

Showdown
Raiser: {Q-Diamonds} {10-Hearts}
Sabat: {K-Clubs} {K-Spades}

"I thought you were squeezing," the raiser said in a misread. The board ran out clean for Sabat, coming {5-Clubs} {2-Clubs} {4-Clubs} {9-Spades} {8-Diamonds} to double him up into big-stack territory with 80,500 chips.

Bye, Bye, Baker

Level 8 : 250/500, 50 ante

Amanda Baker three-bet shoved {J-Diamonds} {7-Diamonds} into the {A-Clubs} {Q-Clubs} of a cutoff raiser. Baker flopped a draw but never got there as the board ran {5-Hearts} {8-Clubs} {6-Hearts} {A-Spades} {3-Spades}, and she's headed out the exit doors as we speak.

"Let Me Punch You In the Face Before We Start."

Level 8 : 250/500, 50 ante

It's not just all poker in the Pavilion Room.

Steve Watts and Gavin Smith are seated at the same table and seem to be hitting it off. The last pass we made at their table Smith, Watts and another player were discussing some sort of arm wrestling bet. Watts, who happens to have the opposite body type of Smith, was trying to negotiate a fair bet.

"You're not understanding how weak I am," Smith said. "Let me use both hands and punch you in the face right before we start and we may have a bet."

Watts didn't seem too keen on the punch to the face but using two hands may have been an option.

Waking Up With Aces

Level 8 : 250/500, 50 ante

A player in early position open-shoved for 8,800, and Lars Bonding three-bet all in over the top. It's a dream spot to look down at aces behind that action, and that's just what happened as a third player called all in for 14,450 with {A-Diamonds} {A-Hearts}. The first shover had {Q-Spades} {Q-Clubs}, and Bonding was trying to play the role of spoiler with his third-best {8-Diamonds} {8-Spades}.

The board ran out {5-Diamonds} {6-Spades} {5-Clubs} {4-Spades} {6-Hearts}, and Bonding couldn't find an out. He's doubled up the aces, slipping down to just 8,000 now.

Parker Doubles Marquez

Level 8 : 250/500, 50 ante

Ana Marquez shoved from early position for 4,425 and action folded all the way to Brock Parker on the button. Park pushed out a 20,000 stack to isolate Marquez and the blinds folded. The hands were tabled and they're off to the shutout.

Marquez: {A-Clubs} {J-Clubs}
Parker: {A-Diamonds} {9-Diamonds}

The board ran {10-Hearts} {9-Hearts} {8-Spades} {7-Diamonds} {7-Clubs} and Marquez doubled with a straight.
