Devil of a Table
With some recent relocations, one table at the back of the room is both extra entertaining and extra tough. It has David Benefield, Devilfish, Sam Stein, Tony Cousineau, Phil Laak, and Tom Dwan. David "Devilfish" Ulliott open-limped in the hijack, and Sam Stein made it 5,200 from the cutoff. It folded back to Devilfish, who called while muttering to himself.
Flop: - Devilfish check-called 7,300.
Turn: - Ulliott instantly checked, and Stein took a moment before following suit.
River: - The third club on the board prompted a bet of 7,300 from Ulliott. Stein thought about it and slowly made the call. "You're good," Devilfish conceded, and Stein won the pot with for Broadway. He's up to 180,000 while Ulliott is down to 85,000.
"Never take on someone when they're in form," Devilfish told the table. "Take them on when they're out of form."
"So you're saying I'm in form?" Stein asked.
"You just won a f$%king bracelet! Of course you are," responded Devilfish. Tom Dwan perked up at that and wanted to know what he won. Stein answered that it was the $3k PLO, but Dwan was mostly interested in how much he won, not what event.
