Welcome to Day 3 of Event #48: $1,500 No-Limit Hold’em! Our chip leader to start the day is Sebastian Winkler who ended day 2 with an impressive 1,156,000 he's followed up in the chip counts by Matt Stout who will start the day with 1,062,000 in chips.
Other well known players still in the field include Yevgeniy Timoshenko and Mike DeMichele.
Our 30 remaining players will resume play at 2:30 and when they hit 27, 18 and 10 players remaining they will redraw for seats. The ultimate goal is to play down to a winner tonight, but if a winner hasn’t been decided by the end of 10 levels, the remaining players will return for a 4th day. Peter Mendelsohn was the first player to shove all in, but he wasn't the last as Eugene Castro and Alex Smith both followed suit. It was a three-way all in with Castro leading the way preflop.

The board ran out blanks through the turn showing the but then the fell on the river allowing Mendelsohn to triple up. Castro didn't get hurt too badly though as the side pot was still enough to boost his stack up a bit.

We caught this hand as Bryan Pena moved all in on the turn for around 76,000. The board read and Athanasios Polychronopoulos took a few moments before calling. Pena held and Polychronopoulos held .
Polychronopoul missed his flush draw but the on the river earned Pena a trip to the cashier's cage.
