Porter Accumulates

Level 2

Limit Hold'em

On a flop that read {9-Spades}{3-Hearts}{A-Clubs}, Rep Porter checked from early position before the player in the cutoff opened the betting. Porter raised and the cutoff called, then Porter bet out on the turn of the {2-Hearts}.

The cutoff called, then the action repeated on the river {7-Clubs} and Porter tabled {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds} for the set to take down the pot.

Negreanu Building

Limit Hold'em

Daniel Negreanu raised under the gun and found a caller in the big blind. On a {10-Spades}{7-Spades}{5-Diamonds} flop the big blind check-called a bet from Negreanu.

With the {3-Diamonds} on the turn the big blind again check-called a bet. No surprise we found the big blind check-call another bet after the {q-Hearts} landed for the river. Negreanu then showed a weak {A-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for a pair of fives, but apparently it was enough and Negreanu was given the pot.

Ankenman's Up

Limit Hold'em

From under the gun, Jerry Buss raised it up, but Jerrod Ankenman re-raised from the UTG +1 position. Another player in middle position called, as did Buss to go three ways to a flop of {8-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}.

Buss and Ankenman both checked to the middle position player who opened the betting, but they both called before checking again on the turn of the {9-Spades}.

The middle position player bet again and Buss folded, but Ankenman raised. The middle position player called, then Ankenman bet the river {9-Hearts} and the middle position player called, only to muck after Ankenman showed {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} for a rivered set./

Cheong Runs Into Ace-High

Limit Hold'em

Action folded to Joseph Cheong on the button who raised it up. The player in the big blind made the call and the two saw a flop of {10-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{9-Hearts}. Cheong's opponent check-called a bet on the flop and the turn came {9-Spades}. He checked once again and Cheong bet out once again. After another call, the {8-Spades} hit the river and both players checked.

Cheong's opponent flipped up {A-Clubs}{2-Clubs} and Cheong sent his cards sailing into the muck.

Haxton Hacked

No Limit Hold'em

The action folded around to Isaac Haxton who min-raised to 200 on the button before the flop; he found one caller from the big blind, so they went heads-up to the flop of {6-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{3-Spades}. The big blind checked to Haxton who bet 300, but then he check-raised to 750.

Haxton called, then both players checked down the turn of the {10-Hearts} and the river {10-Spades}. The big blind showed {9-Hearts}{7-Clubs} for two pair and Haxton mucked his hand.
