Fisher Can't Find a Call

Karen Fisher opened for 7,000 from middle position and action folded around to Stacie Boehm in the cutoff, who pushed her remaining 21,500 into the middle. Fisher fell into the tank.

"I'm getting two-to-one and it's not good enough," Fisher said. She eventually folded.

Fisher is down to 70,000 while Boehm has risen to 37,000.

Glanville's Gone

The action folded to Jennifer Glanville who shoved from the cutoff with {Q-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}, but she found herself in strife after Xiu Deng snap-called out of the big blind with {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs}.

Neither hand improved on the board of {9-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} and Glanville Day 2 is over. Deng is now in cruise control with more than 135,000 in chips.

Cranford Chips Up

On table 292, the action folded around to Christy Cranford who raised to 6,300 from the cutoff pre-flop before Peg Ledman called from the big blind to go heads-up to the flop of {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{2-Spades}.

Ledman checked to Cranford who c-bet 5,000 and Ledman called before checking her option on the turn of the {7-Diamonds}. Cranford bet 16,000 and Ledman quicky folded.

Dragon Lady Gets Burned

The pandemonium began with Gretchen Brummer, who had become affectionately known as "The Dragon Lady" for her love of dragons, going all in for her last 34,000 from under-the-gun. Amanda Sizemore called to her immediate left and action folded to Frances Ey on the cutoff, who announced she was all in. Right behind her on the button, Marsha Wolak announced she was also all in. Action folded back around to Sizemore, who again called to cover the overlay from Wolak's all-in shove.

Sizemore: {8-Clubs}{8-Spades}
Brummer: {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}
Ey: {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}
Wolak, {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}

Brummer shrieked with joy at seeing she was a favorite going into the flop. However, the joy would soon turn into anguish at what was to be.

The board came {10-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{Q-Spades}, which left both Ey and Wolak with kings and queens.

At the end of it all, Brummer was eliminated, Sizemore slid to 47,000, Ey chipped up to 71,000 and Wolak chipped up to 82,000.

Cranford Can't Be Stopped

Level 15 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Christy Cranford has been steadily chipping up throughout the day, and she just took another pot that has given her the chip lead with 41 players left. Cranford raised under the gun to 5,800, and action folded around to Amanda Musumeci in the small blind, who went all in for 26,500. The big blind folded, and Cranford slowly counted out the chips for the call. After flipping them around in her hand for a bit, she dropped them into the pot, signifying a call.

Cranford: {a-Hearts}{2-Clubs}
Musumeci: {8-Spades}{8-Hearts}

Cranford was far behind, but that didn't last long, as she jumped into the lead on a flop of {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{7-Clubs}. Musumeci needed one of two eights left, but she didn't get it on the turn, the {j-Hearts}, or the river, the {10-Hearts}. Cranford scooped the pot, upping her stack to 180,000.

McDonald Crushed by Baker's Heroine Call

Amanda Baker - crushing souls!
Amanda Baker - crushing souls!

From late position, Amanda Baker raised and the others got out of the way before Linda McDonald called from the big blind to go heads-up to the flop of {6-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}. Before the dealer had even completed spreading the flop, McDonald announced that she was all in.

"Why so much?" Baker asked as a confused look slowly morphed on her face. Baker sat there in deep thought for over four minutes before making a crying call with {A-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} for top-top.

"Good call," McDonald muttered, showing down {K-Spades}{Q-Spades}. Baker's hand held up after the turn and river ran out {10-Diamonds}, {4-Clubs} and McDonald's day was done and dusted.

Baker is now close to 160,000 in chips.

Worley-Roberts Cut Down to Size ... More.

Deborah Worley-Roberts has been crippled to just 20,000 at the hands of Amanda Sizemore as we approach the sixth level of the evening.

All the money was in the middle before the flop when our reporter arrived at the scene; Worley-Roberts had got her money in with {J-Spades}{J-Clubs}, but Sizemore had double-fist-pump-snap-called with {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}!

The board ran out {6-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{6-Spades}{K-Spades} and Sizemore is now up to 140,000 in chips.

Fisher Finds A Ten On The River

Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

As the whole team was typing up various hands, we heard a shriek of excitement, so we went to go investigate. We saw that Karen Fisher had just won a big pot to eliminate Lauren Billings. Fisher told us that after Billings raised to 8,000 preflop, she shoved with {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}. BIllings made the call, and showed {a-}{k-}.

The flop didn't treat Fisher well, coming {k-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}. The turn kept her behind, as it brought the {j-Spades}. However, Fisher binked the {10-Hearts} on the river to take down the pot and eliminate Billings. Fisher had to sit down from all the excitment, and remained speechless for a few seconds, before bluntly saying "I'm too old for this s**t!" Regardless of that, Fisher is surely still happy to be in, and is now sitting on 150,000.
