Donovan Doubles Through Tang, Pierce Forced to Fold

Level 7 : 300/600, 75 ante

Zheng Tang limped in from under the gun plus one before Paul Pierce min-raised to 1,200 from the very next seat. Action folded to Jonathan Zarin in the hijack seat and he reraised to 2,625. Play then moved to Aaron Donovan in the big blind and he cold-called with a little less than 8,500 behind. Tang made the call and then Pierce also called to bring all four players to the flop.

The flop came down {J-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} and Donovan instantly moved all in. Tang instantly called and then Pierce leaned back in his chair, clapped his hands together and rubbed them, saying, "Daaaaammmnnnn." He then folded and so did Zarin. Donovan showed the {Q-Hearts}{J-Hearts} and Tang the {Q-Spades}{10-Clubs}.

"Not what I wanted to see," said Donovan.

The turn was the {5-Diamonds} and the river the {7-Hearts}. Both of those missed Tang's straight draw and Donovan was able to double up to a clap of his hands.
