Thomas Fuller moved all in from the cutoff for 88,000 and Matt Perrins made the call in the small blind.
Perrins drew one card to a and Fuller stood pat with . Perrins flipped the . There was some momentary confusion, but Fuller realized first that his hand was now no good and offered a handshake. The Brits began to cheer again. Four are left and Perrins has a big chip lead once more.
The Brits have established themselves as by far the best railers of this year's WSOP. At Jake Cody's match in the $25,000 Heads-Up Championship, the atmosphere felt like a Manchester United vs. Chelsea Premier League match, and their presence was felt by everyone in The Rio. While this event pales in comparison to the Heads-Up, they are still here in force to support their mate and chip leader Matt Perrins. The rail includes the likes of Chris Moorman, Jake Cody, Sam Trickett, Toby Lewis and many more. Even last night when we were playing down to the final table, many of them stood around for hours watching Perrins play. No event is too small for them to be out in force, drinking beers, and cheering for their countrymen.
Matt Perrins raised to 20,000 from the small blind and Chris Bjorin called. Both players drew two cards and then both checked, Perrins showed and Bjorin nodded and mucked.
Matt Perrins raised to 20,000 and Bernard Lee reraised all in for 111,000. Perrins got a count, then decided to call. Both players drew one card.
Perrins:
Lee:
"Can I see what I have to beat please?" asked Lee. Perrins turned over the for a very strong eighty-seven, Lee needed a three to win or a four to chop. He took his time and gradually peeked at the card before offering his hand to Perrins and wishing him good luck. Lee turned over the , and we are down to three players.
Robin Rightmire has been the short stack for quite a while but just won't go away.
He has doubled up in three of the last ten hands including this most recent one against Matt Perrins that put him up to around 120,000.
Rightmire was all in for his last 58,000 and Perrins reraised all in and he got the fold from Bjorin. Rightmire had a pat and Perrins had a draw to a wheel with . Perrins however paired up with a and Rightmire took down the pot to move up to 120,000.
After the hand Rightmire yelled out to his two followers on the rail, "I'm like a rash, I just won't go away."
With 120,000 he is now a factor again, and this event is far from over.
Matt Perrins raised to 20,000 and Chris Bjorin called. Perrins drew two and Bjorin stood pat before the Englishman bet 30,000. Bjorin thought about calling but gave it up.
Chris Bjorin raised to 25,000 in the small blind but then folded when Robin Rightmire moved all in for 108,000 from the big blind.
Rightmire, now actually with enough chips to raise, made it 25,000 on the button and won the blinds and antes.
