Lyndaker Beats Kaverman

Level 7 : 600/1,200, 0 ante

Richard Lyndaker has advanced to the second round after beating Byron Kaverman, but it took a lot of work to do so, and some luck.

Kaverman took a slight chip lead on one hand where he reraised all in from the big blind for 15,500 after Lyndaker raised on the button. Lyndaker called with the {A-Hearts}{J-Hearts} and was up against Kaverman's {7-Clubs}{5-Clubs}. The board ran out {9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{9-Hearts} and Kaverman doubled up.

Shortly after that, Lyndaker raised to 2,400 on the button and Kaverman reraised to 6,400 from the big blind. Lyndaker shoved for 27,800 and Kaverman called. Lyndaker held the {A-Clubs}{J-Diamonds} and was dominated against the {J-Hearts}{J-Spades} for Kaverman. A board of {5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{4-Spades} gave Lyndaker a flush and doubled him up to leave Kaverman short.

On the final hand, Kaverman was all in with the {K-Spades}{6-Clubs} against the {Q-Diamonds}{J-Spades} for Lyndaker. The flop, turn and river ran out {9-Clubs}{9-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{J-Clubs} and Lyndaker won the match.
