Everyone Watching the NBA Finals

Level 2 : 50/100, 0 ante

It seems that play has slowed down a little bit as of late due to the start of the NBA Finals between the Miami Heat and the Oklahoma City Thunder. Many players were complaining and trying to get the game put on the TVs located around the tournament room, but it took a few minutes to get everything patched in. All is good now, except for the fact that plenty of players seem to be paying more attention to the game on the TV rather than the one at their table.

Over 500

Level 2 : 50/100, 0 ante

Last year, this event attracted 685 players. Although it's still a ways away from reaching that number, the field size has just moved over the 500 mark. There's roughly 20 minutes left in the current level, which will be followed by a break. After that, registration will remain open through the next two levels and the break afterwards before closing at the beginning of Level 5.

Negreanu Hits Two Pair

Daniel Negreanu was all in on the {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{J-Hearts} board with the {Q-Spades}{5-Spades}{4-Hearts}{2-Hearts} against the {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} for his opponent. The turn was the {2-Spades} to give Negreanu two pair and the river finished off the board with the {7-Spades}.

Negreanu's two pair won the pot and he moved to 6,200 in chips with no add-on lammers left.
