Welcome to Event #35: $2,500 Mixed Hold'em!

Good evening and welcome back once again to the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino as players prepare for the one and only mixed hold'em event of the 2012 World Series of Poker!

Rather than committing to a single form of Texas Hold'em, this mixed format means that players will be forced to regularly alternate between limit and no limit hold'em. Players must continually alter their strategy as the format changes, which makes this event great for those who consider themselves hold'em specialists.

Last year, Matt Matros took down the event and snagged a cool $303,501 after besting a 580-player field and final table that included Noah Boeken (7th), Nikolay Losev (6th) and Matt Hawrilenko (3rd).

Play is set to begin at 5:00 PM PST, so stay tuned here at PokerNews as we provide you with all the impending action!
