Break

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 0 ante

The players are now on a 15-minute break. There is a hand currently going on with Andy Seth and Steven Silverman where Seth is in the tank on the river. We'll have the details of that hand and chip counts shortly.

Silverman Fills Up Against Seth

Steven Silverman
Steven Silverman

Action folded to Andy Seth in the small blind and he called before Steven Silverman raised to 72,000 from the big blind. Seth called.

The flop came down {7-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} and both players checked to see the {3-Hearts} fall on the turn. Seth bet 60,000 and Silverman called.

After the {5-Spades} put trips on the board on the river, Seth checked and Silverman bet 200,000. Seth went into the tank for a couple of minutes. He sat down and thought for two minutes, stood up for another minute, sat back down for another minute and then finally called.

Silverman turned over the {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{J-Spades}{4-Hearts} for a full house, fives full of aces. Seth mucked his hand.

Smith Doubles Through Brown

Action folded to Andrew Brown in the cutoff and he raised to 65,000, which prompted Micah Smith to move all in for 195,000 from the button. Both blinds got out of the way and Brown made the call.

Showdown
Smith: {Q-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{J-Spades}
Brown: {3-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{6-Spades}

The {10-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{A-Diamonds} flop gave Smith a nice straight draw, but it'd be the running {9-Diamonds} turn and {6-Diamonds} river that would give him a queen-high flush and the win.

Jachtmann vs. Brown

Jan-Peter Jachtmann raised to 70,000 from the cutoff and was called by Andrew Brown on the button. The {5-Spades}{6-Spades}{J-Spades} flop saw Jachtmann lead out for 85,000, Brown called, and then both players checked the {5-Hearts} turn.

Jachtmann returned to betting on the {A-Diamonds} river, this time firing out 110,000. Brown responded by making it 450,000 to go, and Jachtmann called with {A-Spades}{4-Spades}{7-Hearts}{3-Spades}. It proved good as Brown simply mucked.

Andy Seth Eliminated in 5th Place ($165,665)

Andy Seth
Andy Seth

After Andrew Brown raised to 65,000 from the cutoff, Andy Seth potted from the button to 240,000. Brown made the call and then led out for a pot-sized bet on the {8-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{3-Clubs} flop. Seth decided it was time and moved all in for right around 530,000, and Brown made the call.

Showdown
Seth: {K-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{3-Spades}
Brown: {J-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{7-Hearts}

Seth was ahead with kings when the chips went in, but the {9-Clubs} turn delivered Brown two pair. Much to Seth's dismay, the {5-Diamonds} river would give his opponent a full house and send him to the payout desk in fifth place, good for $165,665.

Silverman Sliding

Jan-Peter Jachtmann opened for 75,000 from the cutoff and Steven Silverman defended from the big blind. The latter check-called a bet of 75,000 on the {K-Spades}{J-Clubs}{8-Clubs} flop, and then both players checked the {9-Spades} turn.

When the {4-Spades} peeled off on the river, Silverman check-called a bet of 175,000, but mucked when Jachtmann rolled over {A-Spades}{2-Spades}{A-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for the nuts.
