Rep Porter Eliminated in 8th Place ($17,107)

Rep Porter
Rep Porter

Action folded to a short-stacked Rep Porter on the button and he put in a raise. Hans Minocha defended from the big blind and then led out on the {9-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{2-Spades} turn. Porter made the call and then called a bet on the {8-Spades} turn, though he gave it a lengthy consideration.

When the {2-Hearts} peeled off on the river, Minocha bet and Porter called off for 14,000. Minocha shrugged and simply said, "Ace high."

It became obvious Porter also held an ace-high hand as he waited from Minocha to reveal his {A-Spades}{J-Spades}. Porter winced and rolled over the losing {A-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}.

Gironda Takes One from Johnson

From under the gun, Marco Johnson raised. Action folded to Vincent Gironda in the big blind and he made the call to see the {K-Spades}{8-Hearts}{5-Spades} flop. Gironda checked, Johnson bet and Gironda called.

The turn was the {10-Clubs} and both players checked to see the {4-Clubs} land on the river. Gironda led with a bet and Johnson folded.

Bardah Barrels Into Chan

"RoNasty" is his real nickname

Terrence Chan raised from under the gun and Ronnie "RoNasty" Bardah three-bet from the small blind. Chan called and the flop came down {Q-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}. Bardah fired a bet and Chan called.

On the {10-Spades} turn card, Bardah fired again. Chan stuck around to see the river, which was the {J-Spades}. Bardah didn't slow down and stuck in another bet. Chan took a few moments and then folded his hand, allowing Bardah to take the pot.

More Chips Sent to Vincent

Vincent Gironda
Vincent Gironda

Hans Minocha opened with a raise from under the gun (now to 24,000), then Vincent Gironda three-bet on the button (to 36,000). It folded back to Minocha who called, and the flop came {6-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{10-Spades}. Minocha checked, Gironda bet, and Minocha called. Minocha again check-called a Gironda bet after the {J-Diamonds} turn card arrived.

The river brought the {6-Diamonds} and another check from Minocha. Gironda fired once more, and after some thought Minocha folded his {A-Clubs}{Q-Spades} face up.

"The rich get richer," quipped Ronnie Bardah as the chips were slid Gironda's way.
