We arrived at the table on fifth street, with Joshua Karnad committing his last chips. Sixth street and seventh street would see a couple of bets thrown in by Joe Weinberger and Daniel Fuhs and then we would be at showdown.
Weinberger: (eighty-seven low)
Daniel Fuhs: (three queens)
Karnad: (full house)
Karnad took half the pot to see his stack increase, while Weinberger took the other half.
Frazin completed with the showing, and Fitzpatrick raised. Only Frazin called. The chips went in on fourth, and Frazin tabled for a pair of eights. Fitzpatrick had a monster draw holding , but paired his deuce on fifth, and received a ten on sixth.
On seventh, Fitzpatrick made a meaningless two pair, and was eliminated.
When we reached the table, Chris Back was all in with the board reading . Allen Bari tank-called, and Back tabled . Bari mucked, and Back doubled to nearly 50,000 chips.
Christopher Gentile was down to just 3,500 during the last hand of Omaha Eight-or-Better. The final hand of his tournament began when Timothy Frazin limped from under the gun. Gentile then committed his last chips, at which point Daniel Harmetz raised it up to 6,000. Frazin called and the dealer readied some cards.
Frazin and Harmetz then checked down a board and Frazin would table his , with the wheel enough to scoop the pot. Gentile's cards were tabled and quickly mucked as he didn't hold enough to survive. Unfortunately for Gentile, he is our bubble boy, while the remaining 40 players are now in the money.
We are now hand-for-hand. The next player to be eliminated will go home empty handed as the bubble boy, while 40 players will be guaranteed a min-cash.
Norman Chad has just won a bunch of his chips back, thanks to this hand that played out with Oleksii Kovalchuk.
Kovalchuk was the bring in and Chad completed. Kovalchuk made the call, while the rest of the table was out of the way. Kovalchuk led on every street and Chad called up until seventh when he raised. Kovalchuk called and Chad tabled for an eight-high straight to scoop the pot.
