Sindelar Gets There?

Bobby Moore opened this recent hand by making it 13,000. Action folded around to Daniel Sindelar who three-bet to 21,500. The rest of the table folded and Moore completed the call.

The flop came {3-Hearts} {2-Clubs} {6-Hearts} and Moore came out betting 30,000. Sindelar's response was to move all in, a bet that would put the shorter stacked Moore all in. Moore took his time thinking about making the call. He even went as far as to apologize to the table for taking so much time. The table was very gracious and told him to take as much time as he needed.

In the end though he threw it away and showed a queen. Moore said he had two of the same card, but Sindelar wasn't buying it.

Joey Weissman Eliminates David Elyashar

Fabrizio Gonzalez raised to 11,000 in early position and the action stopped dead at the hands of Joey Weissman as he asked Gonzalez for a count. Gonzalez gave Weissman his answer and Weissman made the call. A few folds later and David Elyashar moved all-in from the small blind and this time it was Gonzalez asking for a count. The dealer confirmed it was 106,500, Gonzalez folded followed by a very quick call from Weissman. So we had a heads-up confrontation with Elyashar at risk of elimination.

Selbst Doubles Shorty

The hijack player opened and the cut-off player moved all in for about 75,000. Vanessa Selbst was on the button and she moved all in for 270,000. The blinds folded and action was back to the hijack who took his time before folding {9-} {9-} face up. The cut-off had far few chips than Selbst and would be the one at risk in this all in.

Michael Gagliano Eliminates Shankar Pillai

Michael Gagliano has just become the latest player to hold the number one spot. He has just eliminated the World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet holder Shankar Pillai. We missed the detail of the raising war but believe Gagliano raised, Pillai three-bet, Gagliano put him all-in and Pillai called.

We don't know exactly how the action went, but what we do know is a shorter stacked player moved all in for around 160,000 and Robert Castoire in later position made the call with {A-} {K-} . Castoire was in great position because his opponent possessed {A-} {Q-} .

The board came {A-Hearts} {7-Clubs} {6-Diamonds} {2-Clubs} {j-Diamonds} giving Castoire a pair of aces with a king kicker. His opponent was only second best and was eliminated, putting Castoire over the 500,000 chip mark.

Another Pot For Gagliano

Michael Gagliano has the proverbial bit between his teeth at the moment. He is up to 830,000 courtesy of this hand against Jason Wheeler.

Wheeler opened to 14,000 in mid-position and Gagliano peeled in the cutoff. Wheeler bowed his head and proceeded to fire two barrels into the waiting arms of Gagliano (18,000 flop and 26,000 turn).
