Michael Cooper Eliminated in 23rd Place ($8,080)

Michael Cooper - 23rd place
Michael Cooper - 23rd place

Michael Cooper has joined the rapid parade of players hitting the rail as Level 18 comes to a close. In Cooper's final hand, he was all in with {A-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{2-Spades} against Jonathan Hart's {A-Hearts}{A-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{7-Spades}. The community cards came {J-Hearts}{9-Spades}{6-Hearts}{J-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}, meaning Hart had the best high (with no low possible), and Cooper was out in 23rd.

Matt Livingston Eliminated in 22nd Place ($8,080)

Matt Livingston - 22nd place
Matt Livingston - 22nd place

And one more bustout to report on the last hand prior to the break. Matt Livingston had been among the chip leaders, but lost the bulk of his stack to Timothy Finne in a hand in which Finne was all in with {A-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{5-Hearts} against Livingston's {K-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{5-Clubs}. The board came {5-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{7-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}, giving Finne a full house and knocking Livingston back to short-stacked status.

Livingston would survive a couple of hands thereafter, but ultimately would lose the last of his stack in another preflop all-in hand versus Finne to leave us with just 21 players heading to the last break of the night

Elie Payan Eliminated in 21st Place ($8,080)

Elie Payan
Elie Payan

Cameron Mckinely opened for 29,000 from the cutoff and received a call from Elie Payan in the big blind. When the flop fell {4-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}, Payan checked and Mckinley bet pot. Payan responded by raising all in for about 120,000 total and Mckinley made the call.

Showdown
Payan: {J-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}
Mckinley: {A-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{8-Hearts}

Payan's pair of queens was good when his chips went in, but the running {8-Diamonds} turn and {10-Diamonds} river gave Mckinley two pair and the win. Payan seemed a little stunned as he made his way to the payout desk in 21st place.

Andrew Barber Eliminated in 20th Place ($8,080)

Andrew Barber - 20th place
Andrew Barber - 20th place

Andrew Barber managed to get all in preflop holding {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{7-Spades} and was in decent shape against the {A-Hearts}{K-Spades}{J-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} of Steven Loube. The {10-Clubs}{4-Spades}{K-Hearts} flop gave Loube a pair of kings and an open-ended straight draw, but he still needed to improve in order to eliminate Barber.

The {7-Clubs} turn was no help, but the {A-Spades} river was. It took Barber a moment to realize Loube had rivered the nuts to scoop the pot and that he was eliminated in 20th place.

Francis Lincoln - 19th place

Francis Lincoln was all in for about 70,000 with {A-}{K-}{9-}{5-} double-suited against the {6-}{4-}{4-}{2-} of Roch Cousineau, and when the board brought three queens Cousineau had made a full house to oust Lincoln in 19th.

There will be a brief pause as the remaining 18 redraw for new seats.

Lawrence Berg Eliminated in 18th Place ($9,823)

Lawrence Berg - 18th place
Lawrence Berg - 18th place

Shortly after the redraw for the final two tables, Lawrence Berg was eliminated in swift fashion in a hand versus Kyle Carlston.

Berg had potted from the cutoff, leaving himself just 9,000 behind, and when it folded to Carlston in the small blind the latter reraised the pot, forcing a fold from the big blind. Berg put his last chips in the middle and turned over {A-Clubs}{A-Spades}{10-Hearts}{3-Clubs}, hoping his hand would hold versus Carlston's {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}.

Then came the flop — {7-Spades}{7-Clubs}{7-Hearts}! Quads for Carlston, making the {10-Clubs} turn and {6-Spades} river no matter.

Dario Alioto Eliminated in 17th Place ($9,823)

Dario Alioto - 17th place
Dario Alioto - 17th place

Charalampos Lappas, who seemed to be a bit steamy after losing a big chunk of his stack to Steven Loube, raised to 30,000 from middle position only to have Dario Alioto three-bet pot from the cutoff. After the button and blinds got out of the way, Lappas moved in and Alioto called off for around 155,000 total.

Showdown
Lappas: {A-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{5-Hearts}
Alioto: {A-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{A-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}

"Clubs," Lappas screamed after the flop came down {8-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}. He knew if he hit one he'd scoop the large pot. The {J-Spades} turn was of no consequence, and Lappas tried one last time, "Club."

Ask and you shall receive . . . {5-Clubs} on the river. Alioto shook his head and remained silent as Lappas went to his rail to celebrate. Alioto was eliminated in 17th place and will take home $9,823.

Stephen Hesse Eliminated in 16th Place ($9,823)

Stephen Hesse - 16th place

Viatcheslav Ortynskiy opened for 27,000 from the cutoff, then Stephen Hesse pushed all in for about 70,000 total from the small blind, getting a calle from Ortynskiy.

Hesse: {A-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}
Ortynskiy: {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{2-Spades}

The community cards came {6-Hearts}{A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}, and Ortynskiy's two pair beat Hesse's, sending the latter out in 16th.

Vojtech Ruzicka Eliminated in 15th Place ($12,094)

Vojtech Ruzicka
Vojtech Ruzicka

We didn't catch the betting action, but we do know that just before the level went up, Vojtech Ruzicka ended up all in preflop for around 75,000 and was up against Roch Cousineau.

Showdown
Ruzicka: {A-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}
Cousineau: {2-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{Q-Spades}

The {6-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{J-Hearts} was disaster for Ruzicka as it delivered Cousineau the nut flush. In order to stay alive, he'd need runner-runner helps to either a low, which would likely quarter him, or an improbable high. The {10-Spades} turn put an end to any suspense as Ruzicka was drawing dead.

The meaningless {K-Clubs} was put out on the river for good measure and Ruzicka took his leave in 15th place.

Noomis Jones Eliminated in 14th Place ($12,094)

Noomis Jones - 14th place
Noomis Jones - 14th place

Steven Loube has caught a rush of cards here during the last level of play, and Noomis Jones was the latest to fall victim.

All in on a {Q-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} flop, Noomis turned over {Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{9-Spades}{8-Clubs} for a set of queens but was in dire straits versus Loube's {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{5-Spades}. The turn was the {3-Hearts} and river the {4-Spades}, and Jones is out.

Loube has moved up over 1 million, the first player to do so. Full updated counts of the remaining 13 coming momentarily.
