Day 1 Set to Begin
Day 1 of Event 47, $1,500 Pot Limit Omaha Hi-Low Split 8-or-Better, of the World Series of Poker is set to begin. A uniquely European variant of the popular game has gained interest from American players in recent years. Last year the event saw David Singontiko take home a bracelet after defeating a field of 946.
David "Doc" Sands and Paul Volpe all made deep runs. Eventual November Niner Martin Staszko, Kathy Liebert, Ben Yu, Erik Seidel, Mike Beasley, Antony Lellouche and Alexandre Gomes all cashed in the event.
Players will start with a 1,500 stack with two rebuy lammers worth 1,500 each. We expect to play ten levels today unless a huge rush at the cage.
