Chris Lee - Winner of the inaugural 10-game event in 2011.

Day 1 of Event 52: $2,500 10-Game Mix - Six-Handed will kick off in the next 20 minutes, and it'll be only the second time that Badugi is dealt at the World Series of Poker. The other nine games are of course Limit Hold'em, Omaha Split 8-or-Better, Razz, Stud Hi, Stud Split 8-or-Better, No-Limit Hold'em, Pot-Limit Omaha, Deuce-to-Seven Triple Draw, and No-Limit Deuce-to-Seven Single Draw.

Chris "Genius28" Lee won this event last year. He defeated Brian Haveson heads up, besting a 431-player field to win $254,955 and the gold bracelet. Also joining those two at the final table were Shaun Deeb and John D'Agostino.

The cards will be in the air shortly.

Unregistering

Level 1

Jason Mercier was floating around the Orange Section of the Amazon Room moments ago, and it looked like he was collecting from some of his investors for the $1 Million Big One for One Drop.

"Are you playing today?" Pat Pezzin asked Mercier.

"No," Mercier responded. "I registered yesterday then realized I couldn't play. I'd probably make Day 3 and win like $33,000 though."

The nearby tables all broke into laughter, and Mercier was off to collect more chips and money.

Lindgren Wins With Just Sixes

Level 1

Omaha-8

Erick Lindgren and an opponent were heads up with the board reading {q-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}. Lindgren check-raised his opponent, who called, and the turn was the {k-Diamonds}. Both players checked.

The {q-Spades} completed the board, and both players checked again.

"Sixes," Lindgren announced, tabling {a-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{2-Spades}.

His opponent mucked, and Lindgren scooped the pot.

Crain Confused, but Wins

Level 1

NL 2-7 Single Draw

We arrived at the table after the draw, and Jesse Martin and Eric Crain were heads up. Martin led out for 700, and Crain went into the tank. He hummed and hawed, but eventually made the call.

Martin fanned {9-}{7-}{5-}{3-}{2-} for a ninety-seven, and Crain showed {8-}{7-}{5-}{4-}{2-} an eighty-seven. Crain almost mucked however, picking up his hand to toss it in, when he realized he had the best hand.

Crain shook his head, and raked in the pot.
