Lisandro Loses One

Action started with Genon Clement, who raised it up to 1,250 in middle position. Jeff Lisandro was the only caller in the small blind, and they went heads up to a flop of {7-Spades}{6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}. Lisandro check called a bet of 1,325, and the turn brought the {10-Diamonds}.

Lisandro checked, and this time, Clement fired out 2,400. Again, Lisandro called, and the river brought the {10-Hearts}. Both players checked, and Lisandro said "king high". It was no good though, as Clement rolled over {a-Hearts}{7-Hearts} for tens and sevens. He took the pot, knocking Lisandro down to 40,000 in the process.

Negreanu's Setback

The hijack player started this recent hand out after the table folded around to him. The cutoff and the button released and action found its way on Daniel Negreanu in the small blind who made the call. The big blind also paid the price and the three players went to the flop.

The dealer fanned three cards in the middle of the felt and they looked like this, {2-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{j-Hearts}. Negreanu came right out of the gates and bet 2,500. The big blind folded, and the hijack player quickly raised to 7,500. Negreanu asked to see how many chips the hijack had, thought for a few moments, and made the call.

The {8-Clubs} on the turn slowed Negreanu down and he checked to the hijack. The hijack then quickly bet out 15,000. Negreanu took his time pondering what the right move was and after about 40 seconds had passed he made the call.

The river brought the {j-Spades} causing Negreanu to check. Negreanu's opponent immediately went all in for around 13,000 and Negreanu snap folded.

Bjorin Battling

Over the last three years, Chris Bjorin has made a total of five World Series of Poker final tables. Included in those is two from this summer alone. He is also currently number five on the all-time WSOP cashes list, boasting 65 cashes over his long and lustrous career. He's here today and will be looking to add to his impressive poker resume. However, he will need a little help soon for that to happen.

We recently arrived at Bjorin's table with Bjorin opening the pot to 1,550. Jerry Morris made the call on his direct left, along with a player in late position. On the {q-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{a-Spades} flop, Bjorin led for 1,500 and Morris called, while the other remaining player got out of the way. The {j-Spades} turn would see Bjorin check this time and then call a bet of 4,250 from Morris. Bjorin continued his checking on the {6-Clubs} river and Morris continued his betting, firing out 5,250. Bjorin cut down his stack, seeing that he had just under 20,000. Eventually Bjorin opted to fold, sending the pot to Morris.

Huston Runs Into Lester's Pocket Rockets

Faraz Jaka opened to 1,400 from early position only to have Ryan Huston, who was next to act, three-bet to 5,025. Action folded to Jason Lester on the button and he put in a four-bet to 18,000, Jaka folded, and Huston called off for around 15,000 total.

Showdown

Huston{10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}
Lester{A-Clubs}{A-Hearts}

"Come on, one time," Huston said as he stood from the table. He seemed optimistic, but that quickly dwindled as the board ran out {5-Hearts}{7-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{9-Hearts}. Huston made a quick exit from the tournament floor while Lester was all smiles pulling in the pot.

Selbst Backs Down

As we expected, Vanessa Selbst has been extremely active today. Everytime we walk by her table, she has cards in front of her and chips in the pot. We just caught her involved in this hand.

The flop had come down {a-Spades}{9-Hearts}{7-Hearts} before we got to the table, and David Weinstein had bet out 1,500. Selbst made the call, and the turn brought the {10-Clubs}. Weinstein led out again for 3,100, and after about 45 seconds of thought, Selbst tossed in the call. The river was the {a-Diamonds}, and Weinstein didn't slow down, firing out 5,500. It only took Selbst about 20 seconds to fold her hand, giving the pot to Weinstein.

Despite that loss, Selbst is still sitting on 172,000.
