Both Nicholas Verkiak and Matt Grapenthien just made some pushes to try and get back into the thick of it. First, Grapenthien won a pot off David Williams to get back to 85,000 in chips when he made kings up against Williams' nines up.
Verkiak battled against Chau Giang and doubled up when he spiked a diamond flush against Giang's nine-high straight.
Timothy Finne just got crushed all the way down to 2,000 in chips after losing a pot to Andy Bloch.
Finne: (x)(x) / / (x)
Bloch: (x)(x) / / (x)
Bloch and Finne got into a raising war on third street before Bloch bet every street from there on out. Finne called down, but could only muck after Bloch tabled the from his hand for aces and nines.
Finne was knocked all the way down to 2,000 in chips after that hand and got the last of it in on the next hand.
On his final hand, Finne made a pair of deuces, but they were no good against the tens and fours for Mike Baxter. Finne was eliminated in 16th place and earned $4,637 for his finish.
Chris Tryba's run has come to an end in 17th place and he was done in by none other than David Williams who continues to crush and is now over 300,000 in chips.
Tryba had two queens buried in the hole, but they couldn't hold up against Williams who improved to make two pair of eights and sixes and then a full house by the end of the hand after a third eight fell.
David Williams is now up to 290,000 and absolutely crushing. He just picked up a couple of nice pots that sent him way out in front and doesn't have anyone close in his rearview mirror.
On the first hand, Williams made tens full of fives against Scott Abrams, who claimed to have sixes full. On the second hand, Williams had a pair of aces in the hole and got his two opponents to fold on fifth street.
The last woman standing, Caroline Hermesh, just eliminated William Thompson in 18th place. Hermesh made a pair of tens and Thompson missed his flush and straight draws to finish the hand in second place and the tournament in 18th place. He earned $3,814 for his finish and we're now one spot away from a money jump.
Ranciato was driving the betting on every street up until seventh, which is where he check-called a bet from Grapenthien. Ranciato showed the from his hole cards for trop fours and beat Grapenthien's announced "jacks up" to scoop the pot.
