Seated at a table with Amnon Filippi we found a new chip leader. Ryan Miller has a massive 94,000 chip stack in front of him and that means he more than doubled up since the start of the day. We will keep track of Miller to see if he can keep this early run going.

New Table Just as Though

Level 2 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante

Daniel Negreanu got moved to a new table after his old one broke, but his opponents aren't getting any weaker. Erik Seidel is very short but the all time money leader in live tournament poker is always someone to be aware off. Seidel has $16,918,173 in live earnings and none other than Negreanu himself currently sits in second place with $16,129,219.

Matt Hawrilenko is one of the other studs at this table as he amassed over $1.6 million in live tournament earnings. His biggest result came in 2009 when he won the $5,000 6-max tournament cashing just over one million dollars. Hawrilenko is mostly known for being a top notch online Limit Hold'em player under the handle HOSS_TBF.

The fourth player we recognized was Matt Graham. Graham is not as well known as his rivals but he should be considering he won two WSOP bracelets. Back in 2008 Graham won the $1,500 No Limit Hold'em Shootout cashing $278,180. His biggest result came in the following year when he won the $10,000 Pot Limit Omaha Championship for $679,402. Plenty of big names still left in this thing as we are down to 171 players.

Master Baker

Level 2 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante

David Baker was out of position to Men Nguyen in a three-bet pot but that didn't stop him scooping the lot.

Nguyen opened from under the gun and Baker three-bet from the small blind.

Nguyen called and led on the flop and turn on a {10-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{k-Spades} board.

Both players checked the river and Baker opened up {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}.

Nguyen said, "Nice hand" before he folded.

Three Way Pot to the River

The pot was big meaning there must've been action all the way to the river.

The final board read {a-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{2-Hearts} and the big blind led on the river.

A player in early position called, as did John Racener.

Big blind: {3-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{7-Spades} for the low.
Early position: {2-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} for no part of the pot.
Racener: {a-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{j-Spades} for the high.

Good Start for Bakes, Nguyen Drops Some

We just missed a big hand between David "Bakes" Baker and Men Nguyen in which the young pro increased his stack significantly.

Baker had his breakthrough year in 2010 when he won the $10,000 No Limit 2-7 Single Draw tournament for just under $300,000 and managed to reach the final table in the $50,000 Players Championship banking another $272,275. Men Nguyen, who is better known as The Master, also had his biggest WSOP results in 2010. He won the $10,000 Seven Card Stud Championship and finished second in the $5,000 No Limit Hold'em tournament for $412,746. In total Nguyen has seven WSOP bracelets to his name.

Just a couple of hands later there was multi way action again at this table with Baker and Nguyen involved in the pot. The flop read {9-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} and Baker checked, the player to his left bet 1,200. Nguyen was sitting to his left and he raised to 2,400 and two other players folded back to player who bet the flop. The dealer was about to put out the turn when Nguyen reminded him he had put in a raise. The call was made nevertheless and we got to the turn.

The turn was the {3-Spades}, Nguyen bet and his opponent called. The river was the {2-Diamonds} and both players checked. Nguyen's opponent showed {A-Clubs}{K-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for two pair and Nguyen flashed his {A-}{K-}{10-}{5-} before mucking his cards.

Allen Bari is also seated at this table and he is currently hovering around 23,000 chips.

O'Shea Slips After Good Start

John O'Shea's chip graph was showing a positive trend until he lost a three-way pot just now.

He was in mid position and called an early position raise along with the button.

The flop came down {k-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{8-Hearts} and the aggressor's c-bet was called by both players.

The turn came {q-Clubs} and the action was checked to the button player who bet 2,400. Both players called before all three checked the {10-Hearts} river.

The button tabled {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{2-Spades} for top two and scooped.

Bruson Halts the Slide

Todd Brunson
Todd Brunson

Todd Brunson is down on the day but up on the last pot.

We only caught up with the action on the turn where Brunson's bet from mid position was called by his opponent in the next seat.

The final board read {q-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{9-Spades}{7-Spades}{10-Hearts} and both players checked the river.

Brunson's opponent announced he had a straight but lost out to {a-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{3-Spades} for a flush.
