Steur's Aces Cracked

The action folded to Joseph Steur in the cutoff seat, and he opened. The action folded to Benjamin Reinhart in the big blind, who moved all in. Steur snapped it off, and was way ahead.

Steur{a-Spades}{a-Hearts}
Reinhart{q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}

Reinhart flopped a gut-shot straight draw when the dealer fanned {9-Hearts}{2-Spades}{8-Spades}, and the {10-Clubs} on the turn gave him the nuts. The {4-Clubs} on the river completed the board, and Steur was eliminated from the tournament.

Rast and Duhamel Battle

Brian Rast opened for 27,000 and action folded around to Jonathan Duhamel who sat in silence for a moment before three-betting to 72,000. Rast made the call and the two saw a flop of {9-Spades}{6-Clubs}{A-Spades}.

Duhamel opted to check to Rast who also checked behind. The turn brought the {7-Hearts} and both players checked once again.

The river paired the board, bringing the {7-Clubs}. Duhamel bet 73,000 and Rast quickly flung out a call, tabling {A-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} for a pair of aces that beat Duhamel's {Q-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}.

Huge Pot For Medici

Giorgio Medici has just won the largest pot of the day. It all started when Desmond Portano opened it up to 26,000. Aviraham Lovton then called on the button and it was on Medici in the small blind. Almost immediately Medici three-bet to 146,000 and it was back on Portano.

Eventually Portano made the call and Lovton quickly called as the dealer would spread three cards along the felt.

Flop: {9-Spades}{7-Clubs}{6-Clubs}

As soon as the dealer had finished spreading the cards, Medici had announced he was all in. Portano got out of the way and Lovton called just as quickly as Medici bet.

Medici: {j-Clubs}{j-Hearts}
Lovton: {7-Spades}{6-Spades}

Medici would need some help or he would be out of this tournament.

The {10-Clubs} was certainly a step in the right direction for Medici as he now had outs to the flush and to the straight. When the dealer turned over a {k-Clubs} on the river, Medici would give a little fist pump and Scott Seiver would also take a moment to fist bump him.

Medici is now one of the few players with over a million in chips, while Lovton is now in trouble.

Muramev Moves in Twice, Doubles

Roman Muravev open-shoved all in for 66,000 from early position. The action folded all the way to David Byer in the big blind, who tank-folded.

Two hands later, the action folded to Byer who opened on the button. Muravev three-bet jammed for 94,000, and Byer quickly called.

Muravev{q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}
Byer{k-Hearts}{j-Spades}

The board ran out {2-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}, and Muravev doubled.

Razavi Moving Higher

When Ryan Olisar opened the pot to 24,000, cards would go into the muck from all directions and the play would be on Ashkan Razavi on the button. He made the flat call and the small blind would fold as it was now on Samuel Grafton in the big blind. A few moments and he would three-bet all in for 234,000. Olisar got out of the way and Razavi confirmed the amount before tumbling in enough chips to call.

Razavi's {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} would be in front of Grafton's {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} and it would stay that way as a {8-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{4-Spades} board was dealt on the felt. With that Grafton is eliminated and Razavi now has a monster chip stack.

Le Takes Chips From Ari

When we arrived at Table 457, Ari Engel and Dien Le were taking to a {2-Hearts}{k-Spades}{8-Diamonds} flop in a raised pot. Engel was in middle position and Le was in the big blind, so it was on Le to act. He went with the check and Engel fired out a bet. Le made the call and another card was dealt on the felt.

Turn: {3-Clubs}

Le would again check and this time Engel would bet 44,000. Le then raised it up to 180,000 and after some thought, Engel made the call.

River: {9-Hearts}

The river card would see Le immediately shove all in for 155,000. Engel had a tough decision, but eventually made the call. Le quickly tabled his {3-Spades}{2-Spades} for a turned two-pair and Engel slid his cards into the muck and a large portion of his chips away from his stack.
